Favourites / Show & Tell #2

I really enjoyed the first Show & Tell I did last month so wanted to make sure I followed that up with another one this month. There's a mix of makeup and skincare mainly with the added exception of a nail polish from the new Gosh limited edition Spring/Summer collection.

I will start with skincare first, I have been using the Korres Wild Rose Eye Cream SPF15*, I have dark circles which unfortunately are hereditary but I still opt for eye creams which target dark circles. Plus the Wild Rose eye cream has a SPF15 which is great for the summer months. Not so great if you're planning to have your photo taken. the formula is light and actually brightening, after applying this I can see a difference.

Next up is VICHY Eyes & Lashes Serum* which I recently reviewed so I won't go into much detail here but if you would like to know more check out my full review. This eye cream has an added bonus, it helps to fortify lashes. I love the satiny texture and tightening effect this leaves after application. A great one to use during the day, this does not contain an SPF.

If you're a beauty junkie like myself you'll have heard about the new cream on the block. Move over BB creams make way for CC Creams. I must admit at first I thought here we go another marketing ploy for us beauty fanatics but in actual fact I think they're equally great. BB creams to me are basically posh versions of tinted moisturisers and to be honest I really like them. So I was intrigued to try a CC Cream. The Purminerals CC Cream*, containing a whooping SPF40 which gets the thumbs up for me. This is going to be my go-to face base for the Summer. I will be packing this beauty with me when we set off for our hols. I have the shade LIGHT which is perfect for me, it has a slight yellow undertone which suits my skin fine. The texture is nice and creamy and easy to blend. The packaging is slimline and perfect for travelling. I really like the pump, less wastage which we all want right gals? I found the coverage light/medium, it can become a little shiny on the t-zone areas so oily gals may need a little powdering through the day. I use a little loose powder for optimum staying power. Overall this certainly gets thumbs up from me, it should be available to purchase from M&S beauty halls very soon!

There's nothing more satisfying than re-kindling your love for an old Mac MSF. Yep that's right folks I have fallen head over heels for Macs Semi-Precious Rose -Quartz MSF. This was from Macs Semi-Precious collection, at the time I also gave in and purchased the pearl version which is equally gorgeous. After debating what blusher to use I found myself reaching for this and couldn't believe how healthy and glowing my cheeks looked. I did use this alone, it has a very natural rose pink finish on the cheeks but it is packed with fine shimmer which glistens in the light.

For the eyes I have worn the same combo all week, a loose mineral eyeshadow from Everyday Minerals*. This is a really quick look to create, just grab a fluffy brush and sweep over the lids and then apply KIKO Vivid Eyes* (blue end) along the lower lash line. This combo together works very well, both shades compliment each other.A stunning look for the Summer.

Lastly I want to draw your attention to the gorgeous vintage compact mirror, I found this beauty from a Vintage Fair I recently attended. I was surprised to see how well it's been looked after, I can't stop admiring the beautiful vibrant pattern. What do you think of this months Show & Tell?
