Afternoon sweeties, before I get
blogging about the topic mentioned above can I just draw your attention
to a couple changes on my blog. I have changed the layout of my posts
slighty and have decided to centre my text and finally have mastered
getting BIG photos thanks to the lovely Sophie who came to my rescue. Go check out her amazing blog.
OK so let's get on with my post, I wanted to share a quick Nail look with you which I did yesterday . After my latest Nail post about the stunning Mavala Pop Art collection it got me thinking about colour blocking and so came up with this trendy simple nail look.
OK so let's get on with my post, I wanted to share a quick Nail look with you which I did yesterday . After my latest Nail post about the stunning Mavala Pop Art collection it got me thinking about colour blocking and so came up with this trendy simple nail look.
Then I thought I could be a little bit more adventurous and decided to
give the Scotch Tape technique a go and came up with this design.
So would you like to know how I got these trendy nails?
Well
it's simples, first you need some supplies I used the 3 shades I had
from the Mavala Pop Art collection, my trusty Seche Vite and some Scotch
Tape.
♥ Step 1 ♥
Once
you've painted your nails apply a layer of Seche Vite and whilst you're
waiting for this to dry you can decide what design you want to go for. I
picked the easiest design and simply stuck the tape diagonally across
my nail. You can cut the tape to create a pattern.
*MAKE
SURE YOU TAKE SOME OF THE STICKINESS OFF THE TAPE BEFORE STICKING TO
YOUR NAIL JUST STICK THE TAPE TO YOUR TOP A COUPLE TIMES AND THEN THE
TAPE WONT PULL YOUR POLISH OFF*
♥ Step 2 ♥
Once
your tape is stuck down in the desired position you want, select your
polish and then paintover the bare nail. Once you've painted be quick
but gentle and peel off the tape. Fingers crossed it should look like
the following photo!
Finish off with a layer of top coat, I used Mavadry.
SIMPLES
This
is so easy and the designs are endless, if your giving this a go for
the first time I would suggest you practise on your toes so you get the
hang of it.
This looks fab! x
