REVLON | Style of Wight

Hello I have some very exciting news which I wanted to blog about and share with you guys, Revlon have teamed up with the Isle of Wight Festival. For the first time they will be the official backstage nail & make-up partners forming the 'Style of Wight'.
Celebrity make-up artist Lee Pycroft has created a 'Festival Survival Kit' - a capsule collection of quick-fix makeup essentials.

 Lee Pycroft Says-

"A Festival make-up look shouldn’t be full on, it should be accessible with clean, dewy skin, an
outdoorsy flushed glow and one stand out feature. I love Revlon Just Bitten Kissable in Lovesick to
provide a sheer wash of colour on the lips that lightens up the face but doesn’t look too try hard. For
the complexion, fake a modern, flawless glow and aim to hide the multitude of sins created by
sleeping in a tent or partying too hard!”

The Revlon ‘Festival Survival Kit’ consists of:

· NEW Revlon Just Bitten Kissable – Lovesick £7.99

· Revlon Nail Enamel £6.49

· Revlon Liquid Quick Dry £6.49

· Revlon PhotoReady Crème Blush Pink £7.99

· Revlon PhotoReady 3D Mascara £10.99

· Revlon PhotoReady Eye Brightener and Primer £9.99

· Revlon ColorStay Liquid Eyeliner Pen £6.99

Jenny Longworth, Revlon's UK Nail Ambassador has created a fabulous Festival nail look which you can
create yourselves at home.
Here's a step by step guide showing you how you can create these precious 'Starry Night Nails'

You will need:

*Revlon Basecoat
*Revlon Nail Enamel in Plum Seduction
*Revlon Nail Enamel in Impulsive
*A Makeup Sponge
*Nail Art Detailer Brush
*Revlon Nail Enamel in Whitest White
*Revlon TopCoat

* First things first, apply your basecoat, this will help your nail enamel adhere to the nail plate and also prevent any staining. Plus this will help your look last longer - perfect for festivals!

Step 1- Sweep over Plum Seduction Nail Enamel base colour,  Jenny chose this colour from the range as she was inspired by the Isle of Wight colours from the tickets and logo.

Step 2- Paint Impulsive onto the makeup sponge and then dab this on the bottom part and tips of your nails. You want to build up the colour towards the ends, and change the part of the sponge you're using frequently as the enamel can dry and clog. You can tidy up your fingers later with a cotton bud soaked in remover.

Step 3- Add the dot details in with the Whitest White, here's where you can add a bit more enamel on a nail design brush as you want the colour to 'bead' on the end of the brush, then using the tip of your brush, flick the white outwards to form the points of your stars.

Step 4- Leave this to dry for a few minutes and then 'float' your topcoat over the top of your design so you don't drag the polish, use the three stroke method as you would for your base colour to make sure your whole nail is covered. Then 2 minutes after your last coat when your nails are touch dry you can speed up the drying with Revlon's Quickdry Oil. Revlon's Nail Ambassador Jenny Longworth prefers to use this round the cuticles too for a bit of extra moisturising!

I hope you enjoy the nail look and please let me know if you give this a go! I would love to see them.

Sherrie xoxo
