I would like to wish all my followers a VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Christmas Goodies

I just wanted to share with you a couple christmas presents which I was very lucky to get, I'm not going to go through everything I got because (1) I don't want to bore you and (2) I don't want offend anyone by thinking I'm showing off.

So my Mother In-law did me proud and she bought me the goodies that I really wanted from Mac, she gets 10/10 for hiding them well!

She disguised them in this beautiful gift box, I love these elegant designs which are found on cards, gift wrap and small gifts. You can find this range at most Clinton Card shops.
So once opened this is what was inside...

Powder Blush My Highland Honey ( Sold Out )
I'm so chuffed I have this, my thinking behind the shade was Spring time! In the photo it looks bright but it's not as bright as this, I'm sure you've all seen swatches but incase you haven't just leave a comment if you want any done.

Pearl Glide eye liners Lord it up (Sold Out) & Undercurrent
Again I'm chuffed to get both of these, but must admit I was most hoping for Undercurrent. When I saw the colour swatches I loved it, so different from anything I have.

The Faeire Glen ( Sold Out )
This was on my top list aswell as Cut a paper but Cut a Paper was already sold out when my mum picked the goodies up. However I noticed online this is still in stock but think I will refrain myself seeings have a nice lot of goodies to play around with and plus I have already spent my birthday & Christmas money!

Melon pigmet
Lastly this is not from the Tartan Tale collection but their normal line. I have lusted after this for some time now after seeing this on various blogs and I now have a little list of pigments I wish to collect :)

Thanks for stopping by and if you would like any swacthes then please just ask.

Opps! I just wanted to show you this which I have worn everday since I opened it and literally beamed like a Cheshire cat when I opened it. I have adored this perfume for years and so glad to have this in my collection at last!

Party Nails

Morning my sweeties, I wanted to share with you my latest Nail look which I created last night. I saw how to create this look over at Fees lovely blog Makeup Savvy.

With New Years just around the corner I got thinking about nail colours and different looks and came up with this...

So how did I do it? Well for this look you will need, a basecoat ( optional ), a nail polish colour of your choice, a loose eyeshadow powder, a top coat and a teaspoon.

Step 1.

Apply your base coat, one coat is fine.

Step 2.

Apply 2 coats of your chosen nail colour and then follow the next step STRAIGHT away!

Step 3.

Ok this is probably the most fiddly stage but it's simple, I promise!
Using the end of your teaspoon ( handle end ) scoop a small amount of loose eyeshadow on the tip and then place on your nail cuticle.

Don't worry if it goes everywhere because this look is not meant to be perfect.
I tend to gentle tap the dust onto the corner of the cuticle so that when I blow the dust, it falls at an angle. Check out the thumb photo so you know what I'm babbling on about.

So once your dust is placed where you want it blow the dust over your fingernail. You need to do this quite quickly after your 2nd coat of polish so that the dust has something to stick to.
As you can see from the photo my dust didn't land exactly where I wanted but that doesn't matter it all adds to the effect.

This is what I mean when I mentioned I like the dust in the corner and then blown out, that way you can still see the colour polish underneath.

Step 4.

Align Left
Ok this is the last step, see I told you it was easy!
You just need to apply a top coat now to seal the powder effect. I waited roughly a minute and then used my Maybelline Flash Cosmic which is beautiful. A clear polish with flecks of blue irridescent glitter. If you have a similar polish then use this for an added effect. I thought with the Cobalt Blue polish the flecks would really stand out.

*Click on photo for better look*
In this pic I applied the topcoat JUST on the top nail so you could see the difference it makes.

Once your topcoat is dry you can then clean your cuticles, I wouldn't be hasty I would try and wait a while and then run your fingers under cold water and the dust will come away from your cuticles.

So there you go my cherubs I hope you enjoyed this little tutorial and remember theres no right or wrong, you pick the colours. Have a play you'll be addicted, I have also done matching tootsies.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Sanctuary Youth Boosting Facial In-A-Box

Hello cherubs, hope your all enjoying your christmas festivities with your family, friends and loved ones. We hit the shops yesterday and this morning, I picked up some cards for next year and some gifts which is always a bonus!

We all had an amazing christmas dinner over at my In-Laws, and then felt so fat and full ready to burst! Last christmas I was pregnant so had expandable trousers on... I'm embarrassed to say I could've done with these on Christmas day!

£16.00

So after all the food and drink, lots of drink I should add I thought my poor skin needed a little TLC. So after raiding my supplies I found the perfect boost my skin longed for! Sanctuary Youth Boosting Facial In-A-Box was just the ticket. I have had this little gem for a while and kept forgetting to use it, I was lucky enough to win this from Jos amazing blog Beautyliciouslove.

What I love about this at home facial kit is the step by step guide, which might I add pops out the side of the box! The pictures are great and the instructions are easy to follow.
I ran a nice hot bath and lit some candles and finally had some 'ME' time.
The products within the box are as follows-

Warming Microbrasion polish 15ml
Time Reversal Face mask sachet 15ml
Firming Youth Serum 5ml
Lift and Brighten Eye Complex 5ml
Stop the Clock Moisturiser SPF15 15ml

I enjoyed using this and have continued to do so, I was pleasantly suprised by the warming Microbrasion Polish. Asoon as this came in contact with my fingertips it immediately heated up and I must admit I wasn't too sure but after a couple applications I actually enjoyed the sensation of the heat on my skin. The scent of these products really are indulgent and for me this is the closest experience to having a spa treatment.
There was also a money off coupon for £3 when used on any Youth Boosting product, I think the warming Microbrasion wins! I will have to have a browse and see what tickles my fancy. That's the thing with coupons you feel like its a crime if you dont take advantage of them dont you? Or is that just me being a spend thrift.

Thanks for stopping by :) What will you be treating your skin too?

Merry Christmas & Birthday Pressies

Evening sweetpeas firstly I would like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

It was my birthday Tuesday and I just wanted to share with you my lovely presents I recieved!

My hubby and my 2 little ones bought me a top stripey Tunic from Next which I wore that day so it's not in the photo, the Naked palette which I bought when it first came out but kept it back so my hubby could get it for me. I have been wanting to use this so much after seeing every ones posts about it. They also got me some Me to you Bear slipper socks and chocolates.

A very close friend got me the Lancome La Base Pro Perfecting Makeup Primer, really interested to try this, has anyone else tried this yet?

My MIL & FIL bought me a Michael Kors watch which I have worn everyday since! It's truly a beautiful time piece! If you follow me then you'd know that I already knew about this as I picked it when House Of Fraser had their spectacular day. You can see the post here on the watch before I sadly had to give it to my MIL to keep safe and wrap up.

My Mum bought me a necklace and bracelet by the brand MADE at ASOS aswell as a little bottle of Pink perfume from Next.

A Soap & Glory set from a special friend and a toiletry set by Boots from another special friend.

Oh.. and not forgetting these little beauties! I have wanted ear muffs for yonks, my MIL bought me these from Dorothy Perkins and the chocolate Hello Kitty lollipops!

So there you go I wanted to share with you my birthday presents, I am so lucky to have such loving family and friends!

Christmas Chocolate Crispies

Ok so I know I'm no cupcake queen...YET! might I add. However being a busy SAHM I am a little educated in the kitchen area!
So after being iced in for 6 days! I started to get cabin fever, so to keep my mind off things and keep my little boy entertained we made christmas chocolate crispies and christmas salt dough!

I'm not going to say how to make these because I know you all know but here are some snap shots from start to finish!

So there you go hope you enjoyed the shots as much as we enjoyed eating them!

Thanks for stoping by and MERRY CHRISTMAS to all my lovely followers
