Institut Esthederm | UVin Cellium Spray

I've been so excited to blog about the Institut Esthederm UV in Cellium Spray*, I've had this for a little while but not reached for it until we had the little heat wave last week. It soon became my best friend and I knew I had to blog about it and share my thoughts on it with you all. This is a water spray which protects the skin from environmental aggressors. It allows cellular self-protection and controlled exposure to sunlight. This does not contain any SPF, it does add a very fine layer of protection, making sure skin is hydrated and rejuvenated. It feels amazing on! To really benefit from it's magic you should apply it when you'll be spending time outdoors and in the sun.
It can be sprayed under or over makeup and also used as a setting spray for your makeup. So it's a great all rounder. It is a very luxurious spray and sadly comes with a price tag but if you love a facial spritz and want to treat yourself  I would recommend you try this one, great if you're worried or concerned about ageing.

Institut Esthederm say-

Protecting skin from photo-ageing and featuring triple biological cell protection this ultra fine mist boosts the skins natural defences to protect it from free radical and environmental aggressors.

The spray works really well and disperses the right amount, it's a very light spray which feels so good on the skin. Some sprays are rubbish and end up feeling like a shower on the face! On days when the weather has been a total let down I've been saving the UVinCellium spray and have been using the Institut Esthederm Cellular Water Spray. I will be reviewing this soon so keep an eye out!

You can purchase Insitut Esthederm UVinCellium Spray online £28.50/ 100ml

What extra protection have you been using for your face? Have you tried Institut Esthederm?

Korres | Shower Gels

Korres is one of my favourite brands, I love their makeup, skincare and now bodycare. I've seen the Korres Fig Shower Gel mentioned a few times from fellow beauty bloggers so couldn't wait to try this for myself. I like the sleek slimline packaging, both of these fit neatly on my bath. They're both 250ml which is a nice size, it means you can actually get through one of these nicely making you want to try other scents!

Fig Showergel*
The Fig showergel is my favourite and that's saying a lot coming from a Coconut devotee! The scent gets better once you're washing and rubbing it into your skin. It's such a pleasant scent which I've not smelt before. Described as Juicy freshly cut figs, I was pleasantly surprised how moisturising the showergels where. They both lathered up well but both had a very creamy hydrating lather which felt lovely on the skin.

Coconut Milk Showergel*
As you can imagine this one smells exotic, a lovely sweet vanilla scent with the freshness of coconut. I really like this one and it reminds me of the Summer and going on holiday, both showergels are gentle for everyday use. They both help maintain the skins regular hydration level, these are not drying on the skin. These would be great to use on holiday if you're trying to care for your tan.

Free from lots of nasties!

You can purchase the Korres Showergels online £8 each.

Have you tried Korres Showergels?

Glossybox July's Edition | Festival Glam

Last week I received the July's Glossybox* and loved it, the theme this month is Festival Glam! So without further a do I will let the pictures do the talking!

I know I said I was going to just mention the stand out products for each box but I genuinely think this is one of their better boxes and think all the products are worth a quick mention. I must say the only thing is with Glossybox we don't all get the same samples which can disappoint some people, whilst I'm thrilled with this months box I must admit my heart sank a little when I saw some people got the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Oil. Anyway onwards and upwards!

OK so here's what came in my box-
  • Collin Resultime Regenerating Collagen Gel 15ml / Full Size 50ml £47.25
  • Awapuhi Wild Ginger Texturizing Sea Spray 25ml  / Full Size 150ml £18.95
  • MONU Calming Cream 20ml / Full Size 15ml £14.95
  • Jelly Pong Pong Irish Cream Pavlova 15ml / Full Size 15ml £10.00
  • KRYOLAN Stain Powder 3g / Full Size 3g £4.75
*BONUS PRODUCT* Elizabeth Arden's Visible Difference Skin Balancing Skincare x3 samples!

After reading through each individual product I picked the ones which stood out for me. I look forward to trying the Elizabeth Arden skincare samples seeings as my skin is combination. I think the product which I was most excited about was in fact a product which I already have and that's the Jelly Pong Pong Lip Frosting! I LOVE this so much and so happy to have one for my handbag. Then the next stand out product was the Wild Ginger Texturizing Sea Spray, I'm a big fan of Bumble and bumble Surf Spray so couldn't wait to try this one. I've used it twice now and love the smell, much better than the Bumble and bumble. The final product which caught my eye was the KRYOLAN Satin Powder, I used this on my eyes yesterday for my Weekend Face post which you can see here. This also makes a great cheek highlight.

You can subscribe to Glossybox online, it costs £10 + £2.95 P&P each month. If you like the look of this box I would certainly recommend you sign up quickly before they all go!

Do you receive Glossybox? What did you think of your box this month?

The Weekend Face #7

I wanted to go for a very natural face and focus on the eyes, I decided to brave and add a pop of colour. After putting on my Turquoise H&M body con skirt I opted for the MUA Eye Dust #03. It's a beautiful bright mint colour which a shimmer. I hope you enjoy this week's Weekend Post. I've been loving the BC Airbrush Blender, I won this a while ago and have been using it solid for the past week. It really does give your foundation an air brushed finish. I use it for foundation and concealer, I haven't tried the actual Beauty Blending Sponge but I know it's a little pricey. I personally would recommend you try this one because it's much cheaper. They have a range of colours and ship worldwide!

Liz Earle \ Natural Finish Loose Powder

I've been a fan of Liz Earle for years now so when I knew they were finally releasing a Colour Collection I felt so excited and happy. Liz Earle is renown for her skincare so it must have been a big step when designing a colour collection. I have to say that I think the collection is fabulous, the packaging is very sleek and appealing. I have tried the popular Skin Tint which was released last year so had hope hopes for the rest of the collection. I've been putting the Natural Finish Loose Powder* to the test recently and wanted to share my thoughts with you all.

01 Natural Ivory

I have combination skin with an oily t-zone, I must admit this weather is not helping my foundation last at all! I've been using another loose powder recently which has really impressed me, however since I've used the Liz Earle Loose Powder I haven't reached for the other one since! The lightweight powder feels featherlight, you can't even feel like you have it on. I use this over the top of my daily BB cream or my foundation, it really helps even out my skin tone and helps keep the shine at bay. There's three shades to pick from, I have the lightest and it works fine with my skin tone.

Have you tried anything from the New Liz Earle Makeup Collection?

Xen-Tan / Dark Mist Intense Spray.

The Sun has got his hat on, Hip Hip Hooray!
I'm sure you're all aware the sun has finally decided to visit the UK, let's hope it's here to stay. Since the warmer weather has blessed us I've been wearing my summer clothes. I'm not naturally blessed with golden Sun kissed skin. So to help me look nice and bronzed I've been reaching for the Xen -Tan Dark Mist Intense Spray*. Even though this is fine to use on the face, I personally don't like to use this for the face, I like to use a separate facial tanner.

  £23.99   / 148ml

It's so quick and easy to use, I always use a tanning mitt. I normally apply this in the evening and then like to wake up with a golden glow. But if you're in a rush you can apply this in the morning, you instantly get a nice tint of colour. It dries quickly so you don't need to do the 'funky chicken' dance! Ha ha, yes I know you're all guilty of doing it, me included!
It has a subtle scent which is nice and pleasing unlike other self-tans which smell terrible. As long as you keep the skin hydrated the tan will last a good week, I like to top it up on the 3rd day.

You can purchase the Dark Intense Mist online, I would also check out other online beauty places for deals and offers.

Have you tried Xen-Tan? What's your favourite tanner?

L'Occitane New Candle For Sight

L'Occitane have launched a new scented candle to help raise funds for UK sight loss charity RNIB. This is a beautiful honey scented candle and 100% of the proceeds from the sale of each candle will be donated to RNIB to help support further schemes.
I personally think that's amazing and wanted to make sure I shared this with you all. I'm a huge candle fan and honey fan so this would be perfect for me. You can re-use the tin afterwards, this retails £13.00 which is great!

The exclusive honey scented candle is available from L'Occitane boutiques nationwide and online.

Will you be supporting the RNIB and picking up a candle?

Avene \ Micellar Lotion

I've been using the New Avene Micellar Lotion, perfect for make-up remover and gentle cleansing. I've been using it as my go-to eye make-up remover and can confidently say this is one of the best eye make-up removers after Bioderma. This is the first product I've tried from Avene and would like to try more of their range, so if anyone has any recommendations please let me know! If you have sensitive skin or sensitive eyes this would be worth trying, it's very gentle on the eyes. I've not used it all over but I would imagine it to be just as gentle over the face. It does have a very subtle scent which is pleasing and fresh. What's great about this is the no-rinse formula, so if you did want to use this as your daily cleanser you don't need to rinse. You're not left with any residue on the skin or eye area. You can also use this on the lips to remove lip stains or lipsticks.

Thanks to the Thermal Spring Water it's very soothing on the face and eyes making it non-irritating. If you're a fan of the Bioderma this would be a great one to try.

I place two cotton pads together and soak them both, then gently place them over the eyes and gently pat/dab onto the eye lid. It's key to try and wait a little while to let the Micellar Lotion break down the eye product. Then gently sweep away, sometimes depending on the amount of makeup you have on you may need to do this twice. Especially if you're wearing water-proof mascara or eye liner.

You can purchase the New Micellar Lotion from Boots stores and online. This bottle is 200ml and retails £12.50 which is reasonable, don't you think?

Have you tried the New Avene Micellar Lotion?

Book Review \ Phillipa Knickerbocker Glory & the Ice Cream Castle

Being a book worm myself I knew my daughter would follow in my footsteps. So today as a nice change I have a book review for you. Phillipa Knickerbocker Glory is the title of the book and a great one at that! It's beautifully illustrated and aimed towards 3-6year olds and is the debut Children's picture book by published Children's Author Sarahjane Funnell.

The pictures and colours are vibrant and eye catching. My daughter is 2years old, whilst she's younger than the recommended age she still loved flicking through the pages and finding Little Miss Whiskers!

Sarahjane Funnell says-

Phillipa loves ice cream. She loves ice cream almost as much as she loves her pet cat Little Miss Whiskers. Little Miss Whiskers is her fluffy white cat with a purple collar and bell. She doesn’t like ice cream at all but loves nothing more than to curl up into a ball and fall fast asleep on the end of Phillipa’s bed.
One day Phillipa Knickerbocker Glory and Little Miss Whiskers embark on a deliciously exciting journey. Through a secret tunnel, they enter a magical dreamland where they find the Ice Cream Castle and discover every flavour of ice cream imaginable. The Ice Cream Castle seems like a dream come true but will it be just how Phillipa imagined? With all that ice cream, will she and Little Miss Whiskers ever want to go home?
Find out just what happens in this deliciously delightful adventure…

Available to purchase from Waterstone's, WH Smith and selected bookstores.

Visit the website to find extra activities, colouring in sheets and up to date information on book signings. My daughter enjoyed colouring the pictures in. This would make a lovely gift for any 'girly' girl, print out some pictures and add a pack of pens to the mix and this makes a great present.

I hope you enjoyed the post, what stories do your little ones enjoy?

Nourish | Skincare

Cleanser 100ml £9.95 / Toner 100ml £8.95 / Intense Face Gel £15.95 / Moisturiser 50ml £13.95

My skin has become so oily and sensitive so I've been very cautious about using certain products, I also think my skin has become stressed. I'm not sure why but sometimes these things happen without us even knowing. Nourish Skincare contains natural ingredients to help nurture your skin the natural way. The set which I have is from the Relax range and it smells good, you only need to open up the products to feel relaxed. The ranges all contain a cleanser, toner, serum and moisturiser. I think having a simple 4 step routine is good especially if you don't like piling on products after products.

The Cleanser is nice and gentle on the skin and smells strongly of Lavender which I like, it reminds me of my Grans garden. The Toner contains Lavender and soothing Organic Aloe Vera, this is my favourite product from the Relax range. I love the fact it's in a spritz bottle making it travel friendly and great as a quick pick me up. If I'm feeling stressed I reach for this and feel instantly calmed and my skin feels better for it. The Intense Face Gel also contains Organic Aloe Vera and Hyaluronic Acid. It's very light weight and clear, it looks like a gel when pumped onto the hand but it has a very loose consistency and a little goes a long way. The Face Moisturiser has a very strong Lavender scent which may be a little off putting to some but again this is meant to be relaxing, and when I think of relaxing I do think of Lavender. The Facial Moisturiser contains Borage and Shea Butter, blended with lavender is the perfect mix for helping sensitive skin to soothe and calm.

There's four core ranges which target different skin types:

Dry Skin / Nourish Protect
Normal / Nourish Radiance
Sensitive Skin / Nourish Relax
Combination / Nourish Balance

Overall I like the packaging, I think the packaging is perfect for travelling with I like the bottle with the pump applicators on. The Relax range is 98% Organic.

You can purchase Nourish Skincare online from www.cutecosmetics.co.uk

What's your skin type? Are you happy with your skincare routine?

Favourite Hair Masques

I recently started using a hair masque once/twice a week depending on the condition. I currently have 4 which I depend on, and really like them all. I would struggle to pick one, I like them for all different reasons, plus they are all different from one another and offer different benefits. I have long hair and a lot of it. I've noticed in the last month or so the ends of my hair have started looking dry. So I've made a conscious effort to really hydrate my hair with a nice treat. I normally slather on the masque and then comb the masque through using my Macadamia Infused Comb, any wide toothed comb will work fine. Then I pop my hair up in a towel, normally a hair turban works best.

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque.
This is a popular masque which has been mentioned many times by beauty bloggers so I'm sure you've heard of the brand. I've tried a few products from the range, however the Deep Repair Masque and Leave-In Cream are my favourites from the range. This is the best smelling masque out of this pick, it smells fruity and fresh and good enough to eat! Macadamia Oil & Argan Oils combine together with Tee Tree Oil, Chamomile Oil, Aloe and Algae extract. All these ingredients combined work to help nourish and repair dry damaged hair.

Toni&Guy Reconstruction Mask
This smells lovely and reminds me of a salon, it does exactly what it says on the tub! Sometimes it's nice to have a hair masque which you know will give your hair a nice pick me up. You only need to leave it on for 3-5mins, so you could use this instead of your conditioner.

Ojon Restorative Hair Treatment
This a treatment for the hair and the scalp! If you suffer from a dry itchy scalp this would be a great treatment to try. If my scalp is feeling dry/itchy I always use this as an overnight treatment. I recently reviewed this product, you can read my full review here.

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer
This is actually a pre-shampoo treatment which took a little getting use to, but I've got this weighed off now. It claims to add elasticity, manageability, bounce and shine. Well my hair literally feels like silk after using this treatment. It comes at a price though, £22.30 150ml.
If your hair is broken or breaking this would be a great treatment.

Have you tried any of these hair masques?

FRONTCOVER Matte & Metallic

A little while ago I blogged about the new Frontcover online website, where you can purchase their exclusive range of spring/summer sets. I was very kindly sent one of the new sets to try. If you follow my Weekend Face series you may have already seen a sneak peek of it. I was sent the Matte & Metallics set, this was a total surprise and they couldn't have picked a better set to send me. I love the look of the set, the shades and textures and finishes. I've taken a nice lot of photos to show you how beautiful this is.

I love the animal print embossed eyeshadows!

Melted Metals Cream Eyeshadows

The Matte & Metallic set is inspired by leather and suede in a spectrum of warm shades and contrasting textures of gloss and matte. For burnished copper and rust eyes as seen at Lavin, and smudged metals from gold to saddle brown, gloss metallics are a gorgeous update to the smoky eye.

Inside the box:
4 Melted Metals Cream Eyeshadows,
8 Satin pressed powders and a double ended brush.
Plus inside every box make-up artist Leanne Shaw shows you how to recreate the looks.
Whilst the website includes trend pages and get the looks.

The Matte & Metallics set costs £20 which is well worth the money. The cream eyeshadows are a nice size and the quality of the eyeshadows is impressive!

Have you seen or tried the new Frontcover exclusive sets?
