Laura Mercier- Belle Noveau Collection

Laura Mercier is a brand which I'm becoming more aware of and interested in, I've seen some amazing reviews about the makeup especially their face bases and foundations. So I wanted to blog about the new Belle Nouveau Collection which is due to launch this Summer 2012.
Laura's inspiration for this collection comes from her artistic background, focusing on creativity through colour, taking inspiration from Art Noveau's painted posters. An embrace of sugary happy tones, which is bang on trend. Soft romantic pastels which are very easy to wear and look amazing with bronzed skin.

Diego Dalla Palma- Snow White & The Huntsman Palette

Mirror, Mirror On The Wall... Who's The Fairest Of Them All?

When I read the press release I just had to blog about the amazing palette which Diego Dalla Palma has designed to replicate the battleground adventure from the film Snow White & the Huntsman. If you haven't seen the official trailer for this movie you need to check it out, this looks amazing. Universal Films selected Diego Dalla Palma as the official cosmetic partner. From looking at the image below I would say Diego Dalla Palma did a great job!

The palette comes packaged within a very sturdy looking box, once inside you have an oval mirror which is very ironic don't you think? The palette consists of 6 shades, 3 of which have a shimmer finish whilst the other three are matte. This palette would be welcomed with open arms to any 'Nude/Natural' fanatic, myself included-but wait that's not all. You also have a full sized lipstick called The Wicked Queen Lipstick in a vivid blood red and an eye pencil called Dark night. Overall I would say the palette is certainly worth the RRP £25, however I just think they would've done something more elaborate inside the box, something shiny or sparkly. Maybe a 3d apple of something, just to put it up there next to the Urban Decay palettes.

Exclusively available online from tesco Direct from May and instore from June 2012.

What do you think of the gorgeous palette and film?

NEW CID Cosmetics - i-Colour

NEW CID Cosmetics are launching a new cream eye shadow, I've been wearing cream eye shadows recently and so when the New CID Cosmetics i-Colour  landed on my doorstep I couldn't wait to swatch it and wear it. I've enjoyed wearing this on my lids on its own with lovely long lashes, then focusing on flushed cheeks and glossy lips.

The texture is amazing and not at all like your Cadbury's chocolate mousse lol, when you touch it with your finger tip it feels very creamy and almost 'spongy.Very easy to apply and blend, I think the shades would work really well together. i-Colour is waterproof and has serious staying power which is always on the top of my list when applying eye shadows. The shade I have is Crystal Quartz which is a beautiful gold shimmery metallic, there's another seven shades to pick from. The shades are beautiful and very versatile, from vibrant blues to smokey charcoal and soft pink.Crystal Quartz is easily worn for every day but would also be an amazing base if you wanted to wear metallic shades over the top. I have a few ideas which I'm going to try and will blog about.

I'm wearing i-Flutter Mascara on my lashes, don't they look amazing?

I've also been trying the lovely stamp blusher called i-Blossom & the new i-Shine lip gloss pots. Both of these products are great and versatile. i-Blossom can be blended with your fingers and i-shine can be applied with your finger tips however for precise application I would recommend a lip brush.

The more I try of the New CID cosmetics the more I find myself impressed, these 3 products mentioned can create such a pretty spring/summer look  very quick and easy. You don't need heaps of brushes.

I took some swatches of the products mentioned so you can see them, I'm planning blog posts about i-Blossom and i-Shine so keep your eyes posted!

i-Colour RRP £14 will be launching this April so keep checking the New CID Cosmetics website here, I can see these being popular. They're perfect to take on Holiday, they wont take up much room and they're waterproof!! I know I'll be packing Crystal Quartz.

What new makeup products have you been trying and enjoying?

Elemis' QVC 3 Month Exclusive TSV...

You won't want to miss QVC this weekend, they have an amazing TSV. Elemis is delighted to be featuring their New Pro-Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment which isn't due to launch nationwide till July 2012. After the launch of their Pro-Collagen Marine Cream Elemis has launched other products in the Pro-Collagen range which have all been very popular, so there's no guessing the New Pro-Collagen Eye treatment will follow in their footsteps. The texture of the eye treatment is very light, not like a cream or a gel but in fact more like a serum.

I've been sampling the eye treatment for just over a week now and so far so good, I will update my thoughts at a later date when I can give an honest review. I normally use a cream but have enjoyed the change and feeling of a cooling serum formulation. I always use an eye treatment/cream day and night and even so more now I'm starting to notice fine lines.

The TSV will include:

Melting Cleansing Gel
Rehydrating Ginseng Toner
Cellular Recovery Skin Bliss Capsules
Pro- Collagen Marine Cream
Pro- Collagen Advanced Eye Treatment

+ PLUS 2 surprise Elemis Hero Products to be announced on air!

I'm already considering buying one of these for Mum as it's her 50th soon and this kit looks fab! Everything you need for a skincare routine, these type of TSVs are the best because you can always spilt the products and keep some for yourself and gift the others to family and friends. There's a guaranteed saving of up to 64%, which is amazing.

You won't want to miss out on this so tune in this Sunday 29th April.

Thanks for reading,

Goody Hair - New DoubleWear Accessories...

This is going to be a very exciting blog post! I received a very happy surprise a few weeks ago and have been wearing and using them ever since. OK so the suspense is over, feast your eyes below on the New Goody Hair DoubleWear accessories. These are genius, a headband which doubles up as a necklace, or a set of 3 bracelets which double up as hair elastics. No need to hide your well worn and used hair bands on your wrist now, you can wear these with pride and show them off! You'll soon have your friends and family asking you about them.

I'm always putting a hair elastic around my wrist, I wear my hair up and down throughout the day because I'm either running around after my little ones or I'm fulfilling the house-hold duties. Sometimes  I just need to pull my hair out of my face, do know what I mean?

The Goody hair DoubleWear bands have been a real great surprise for me, I've been wearing either the hair elastics or the headbands on a daily basis. The hair elastics come in a pack of 3 in silver or gold, 2 of the bands have a polished finish whereas the 3rd band has an embossed finish. I have the silver finish and love them so much that I'll be popping into Boots to pick up the gold ones! The headbands/wraps come in a set of 2, silver and gold with both a polished finish. I instantly took a liking to the gold headband which actually reminded me of a soft rose gold. Unfortunately my son decided to wear it as necklace because he was dressing up as a pirate and then lost it! However another BIG bonus is the price, these are only £3.75 each. So I will happily pick up another couple sets.

These not only serve a purpose they look fab and on-trend, seriously ladies you NEED these. Next time you're in Boots pick them up!

Will you be picking these up?

Xen-Tan Perfect Bronze

Following on from my Xen-Tan review featuring the Deep Bronze Luxe Lotion  I have the Perfect Bronze compact to show you today. I've still been keeping up with my self- tan routine and love the results, I've not needed to wear foundation some days and so the Perfect Bronze has been the only face product which I've needed.

I use my e.l.f stipple brush to apply and buff into my skin, the colour in the pan looks scary but believe me this looks stunning over a tanned face. It evens out my tan and gives such a healthy bronzed glow.

This is shimmer-free which is perfect for day time and even a little contouring, Xen Tan say it has a natural Olive undertone which basically means you shouldn't look like you've been tango-ed.

You can purchase Perfect Bronze online here from the Xen-Ten web site, RRP £21.99 12g.

What bronzer have you been reaching for?

My Storage & Makeup Area

Hello sweeties, I hope you've all had a lovely weekend. I've wanted to blog about my storage and makeup area for ages now. I have finally sorted and re-organised my makeup and beauty products. I'm still wanting to tweak a couple things but for the time being I'm much happier with it, I can now put my hand to what I'm looking for rather than sifting through piles of makeup. It's like trying to find a needle in a haystack especially with the amount of blushers and lipsticks I have!

OK so here goes...

I have the Ikea 9 drawer Alex unit which is a godsend! I bought this just before Christmas last year with some of my birthday money. It's the best money I've spent for storage and whilst it's a little pricey it does the job and looks good too.
I have all my makeup, body and hair products in the unit as well as some storage baskets on top which you can see.

Next to my unit I have all my nail polishes stored in my S&G hat box then a little zip pouch which has my nail treatments and files in. Next to it is a matching wicker basket to the one on my unit. I have a mix of products in there which I am due to test out and blog about.

On top of the unit is the other wicker basket which has a mix of products in, these are the ones which I'm currently using and loving. Next to it is my lipstick storage. I bought this last year from Asda and it's perfect for my lip products. It has 4 drawers, top drawer houses my lip balms, then the other 3 drawers have been sorted to store my pink/peach/nude lipsticks and glosses.

On top of my lipstick unit I have a couple pencil holders from Tescos which have some of my every day makeup brushes which I use. I do have my Sigma roll which has other brushes in but when not in use I store them in one of the drawers. The other pencil pot has a mix of eye liners in.

In front of the lipstick unit is 2 green glass storage glasses which I've used to store my hair brushes in and my cotton wool balls. Then finally in front of the wicker basket is my skincare storage tray, this is perfect for my skincare. It's also home to my Clarisonic, toners, serums, day & night creams and eye creams.

So there you have it, If you would like any more in depth storage posts please comment below and let me know what you would like to see and I will do my best to take more photos and blog. Or if you wanted a collection post let me know below.

I love these type of posts so please leave me your links below.

Clarins - Crystal Lip Balm Crystal Coral

With Summer fast approaching I've been enjoying summer makeup looks. Bronzed skin with a touch of highlight, blue/bronze eyes with long lashes and glossy lips! I've been reaching for Clarins Crystal Lip balms. I love the silver sleek packaging and the coloured base which is great for when you're looking for a particular shade. Today I wanted to show you Crystal -Coral, perfect for the Summer!

I wanted to blog about Clarins Crystal Lip Balms. These are amazing, these came out with the Summer collection last year. They provide lips with a protective barrier, whilst hydrating them then giving them a luscious full plump lip. They look and apply like a lipstick, they treat your lips like a balm and they look like a subtle gloss on the lips. These are set to make a come back with this years Summer collection, so if you missed out last year don't miss out again!

My lips are naturally quite pink so this shade intensifies them and giving them a rich coral finish, I think this shade is my favourite out of the 3. It looks amazing with a tan and some bronzer!

Have you tried the Crystal Lip Balms? Which is your favourite shade?

OCC Lip Tars 'The Garden' Collection

Hello everyone I just wanted to blog about the new spring/summer OCC Lip Tars. I first saw these on the CutECOsmetics blog and fell in love with the shades and just wanted to share some photos with you guys so you can see them if you haven't already. These shades are band on trend with the pastel craze!

Top row from L-R- Chlorophyll, Digitalis, Kava Kava.
Bottom row from L-R- Ophelia, PennyRoyal, BellaDonna

I wanted to add the following photo which was taken by CutECOsmetics because the images above are a little bright and I think the photo below gives a better idea of the shades. I love the look of Ophelia & Digitalis ( middle 2 shades ).

Sorry I don't have any swatches of these but if you google them I know you'll find some. Which shades tickles your fancy? These are amazingly pigmented and last ages on the lips, also I can't believe these are 10ml, well worth the pennies and don't forget pick up a couple if you can't decide and mix them!

You can purchase the garden collection online from CutECOsmetics. RRP £8.99

Purple Eyes & Glossy Lips!

Purple isn't often a colour I use on my eyes but every once in a while it's nice to try something different don't you think? GOSH have recently launched these really nice Smokey Eye palettes, today I'm wearing 03 Plum.

The shadows feel soft and velvety upon the first touch, my favourite 2 shades are the middle two but then I suppose that's no surprise ha ha! These compacts are perfect to travel with because you can use the lighter shades for the day and then totally change your look for the evening by using the darker shades to add more definition. There's also a handy film which lays over the top of the shadows, showing you where to place the shadows if you're unsure.

Flower Rose Powder blush is a very soft rosy pink/red blush which brightens up the face instantly! You only need a small amount because of the great pigmentation, that's one thing which you can say about Gosh Cosmetics, the quality of the products are always reliable.

I used Gosh Velvet Touch Pink Darling Waterproof eye liner in the waterline to brighten the eyes, I would love to try more of the other shades of the eye liners. These are so soft and remind me of MAC's actually.

Excuse my messy eye brows lol!

I think the different tones of purples and lilacs really bring out the green in my eyes here don't you agree? I always go for nudes, charcoal and gold eyes but never purple. I think my next venture will be blue eyes, so if you can recommend any good eye liners or shadows please comment below!

Thanks for reading,

Sherrie xoxo

ORLY Butterlies & ORLY Instant Artist Gold Glitter

Today is a very Summery nail mani post, I painted my nails with the stunning Butterflies ORLY polish. I love this shade so much that I wish ORLY made matching lipsticks! I still can't make my mind up yet, I think it's a pink/coral shade depending on the light. I wanted to jazz it up a little so found myself reaching for the ORLY Instant Artist 24K Glitter. I simply painted a strip of gold on each nail and purposely painted it off centre.

What do you think? I have matching toes as well! I love rich corals for the summer but also love metallics and golds so have the best of both worlds now. Butterflies looks stunning with a tan, they go hand in hand.

You can buy both of these from Beauty Bay online here

What are you wearing on your nails & toes?
