Remington Stylist

Since having my hair cut I've been enjoying it naturally without using any hair tools. However this has now changed since the new Remington Stylist turned up on my doorstep.

20111130-134812.jpg

I must be honest and say when I saw the different styles you can create using this tool I instantly dismissed the hair straightener option and thought there's no way it's going to give a decent performance but blow me I take it back! They really do perform and I've been loving a messy look, first off I've been straightening my hair and then change the setting to option 2 & 3 to create loose curls and soft waves. The overall look is really nice and messy I think.

New Cosy Slippers

Morning my lovelies, I hope you're all wrapped up warm. I thought seeing as its rather chilly today it would be a great chance to show off my new slipper boots which are very snuggly and friendly on the purse!

20111128-105132.jpg

As you can see they are very snug and very warm on the tootsies.

20111128-105300.jpg

20111128-105327.jpg

20111128-105348.jpg

They have a cute velour bow on both sides of the slippers. The only thing is they have a soft sole so these won't be any good popping in the garden if it's been raining. However because they have such a nice soft sole they are so comfortable on, I've been wearing these round the house all weekend. I got size Medium which is for 5-6 but I would say they are very generous and soon stretch so maybe go down a size?

They come in white/cream and a soft pink, I thought the white/cream option was a no no for me and would soon get dirty. Whilst the pink are still really nice I thought the grey would look nice with everything and not show up the dirt ha ha!

They only cost £4 from Primark so if you need a new pair then pop there and pick yourself up a pair. I'm going to go back and pick up another spare pair.

Have you bought your winter slippers?

Plymouth Lush Store

We all took a family trip into town last Thursday to watch the big Christmas Lights switch on, my son loved it and soon got into the festive swing! I promised him we could take a trip to our local Lush store in Plymouth, he is a true Lush fan and whenever I blog about any Lush products he always helps me and reviews them with me. Anyway once we got to our local store we where served by the manager who was very friendly and really helpful. Oliver liked the look of the new Rocketeer bath ballistic and had the chance to see it in action! I must say our local Lush store is great they are always have fun and exciting events on so whether your local to Plymouth or not you should check out your local store to see what they have planned.

SAY CHEESE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As you can see my little chap had a whale of a time and would've quite happily stayed in there all night long playing with all the goodies! So after having a chat about some other products I let my little chap pick a couple of bath ballistics and of course he picked Rocketeer and also went for the super cool Abombinaball.

I really like the Christmas packaging this year, but then I always like the Lush packaging. My son loved the Candy Cane on the bag so big thumbs up LUSH.

We've used both the ballistics and they went down a treat, so I think I'll have to make another visit to the store and pick up some extra to pop under the tree!

Abombinaball is so cool and if you can't pick what to try first then I urge you to pick him! He is a very adorable snow monster with lots to offer, he's a nice size and if you give him a little shake then you'll hear a little surprise inside! Check out our photos below to see him in all his glory.

The little surprise inside is a small blue bath ballistic which streams out and transforms your bath into a beautiful blue lagoon!

Overall both bath ballistics get the thumbs up from us and we can't wait to try some other bath ballistics from the Christmas range. If anyone can recommend any then please leave us a comment below.

You can show your support for the Lush Plymouth store by 'Liking' their Facebook page here.

Have you tried anything from the Christmas Lush collection?

Get Wild With Batiste!

Hello everyone, I hope you're all well and having a nice weekend so far. I've been meaning to blog about a very kind surprise parcel which I kindly received through the post. If you're a leopard print fan like myself then this will be leopard print heaven for you, if not then I'm sure you're still think Lenny is cute! Batiste have launched a new Dry Shampoo called Wild, sassy and daring!

I've been reaching for Wild once a week to help me get through the 3rd day of shampooing , I don't like to wash my hair every day so if I can i will try and go three days if possible. However normally on the 3rd day I do need a helping hand and that's where Batiste come in. They are the Uk's No1 Dry Shampoo and I can totally see why. I've tried a few from their range and love Blush but think Wild may be right up next to it now for scent wise.

 Batiste say-

Wild is for daring girls who are in touch with their animal instinct. A feisty Oriental fragrance with loads of personality, it's the perfect partner when you’re out on the prowl.

I'm sure you'll all agree with me when I say the packaging is fab and by far the best design! Well I think so anyway.

What I thought was extra special was the way the package was put together, everything had been well thought out. Lenny the leopard was a cute added extra and sadly does not normally come with Bastiste Wild. In my surprise package was also a pair off super cute leopard print flats which are perfect for around the house!

Have you seen the new dry shampoo Wild? Would you like to unleash your inner animal? Then head to your local Boots where you can pick up a can or two!

Batitse Wild is exclusive to Boots, so make sure you pick up a backup if you like it because I can see these selling out quickly. These would make great inexpensive stocking fillers, I love how batiste now have their cans available in different sizes now.You can see the full range here www.batistehair.co.uk

Wild is available in 200ml  and costs £2.99 which is a steal.

I hope you're all having a roaring weekend!

Bliss fabulous skin-reviving rubberizing mask

With Winter nearly here I'm sure I'm not the only one who is indulging in some home pampering! The dark evenings give us the excuse to cosy up at home and give ourselves some well deserved treats.

I've been treating my skin to a very unusual face mask by the brand bliss, if you've not heard of bliss before then where have you been? Hiding under a rock? bliss was first founded in 1996 with their first bliss spa in New York City's Soho and since then they have massaged their way to the top and now have eight bliss spas worldwide as well as a skincare and body care range which is very popular!

When I first read the title of the mask the word which immediately jumped out at me was 'rubberizing',  yep it certainly lives up to it's name. I took photos so you peeps could really see how 'rubberizing' the mask is.

*With seaweed, bilberry and vitamin C

*Refreshes skin, fends off free radicals and calms skin

*Helps even out skin's tone and texture, leaving skin vibrant

The contents of the box include: 6 packets, 1 scoop and 6 spatulas. As you can see I've been treating myself lots these past few weeks ha ha!

It's really easy to use, you simply mix sachet into a bowl with one scoop of water then use one of the spatulas provided to mix the up the mask. Once it resembles a smooth paste you quickly apply it to the face and neck, you can use the spatula to apply it or your fingertips. Then the fun part starts, wait 15-20 till the mask is rubberizing, before peeling off. Use once a week. SIMPLES.

*At the bottom of the sachet it clearly states that you DO NOT try to rinse off the mask, you have to dispose of it in your normal waste bin. I presume it's because of the rubber and the ingredients maybe? *

Do you think I still look 'spa-velous'!? Ha ha

I don't normally enjoy peel-off masks but this is totally different and to be honest you don't really need to peel it, as the unique formula sets it turns to rubber and then basically lifts off the face. My skin feels so good after using this treatment mask and for the few days after I find my foundation looks amazing on my skin. I'm a firm believer in great skincare and having a good basis to then enjoy your makeup, you can have all the makeup in the world but unless you look after and treat your skin it'll never look or feel as nice as you want it to.

You can purchase the bliss Skin reviving rubberizing mask for £35 from  www.blissworld.co.uk  which is great value, don't forget you're getting 6 masks. It works out at roughly £5.80 a mask, and believe me they are well worth the money.

Would you like to try bliss's Rubberizing Face Mask?

I would love to know if you've tried bliss before?
