Orly Nail Lacquer & Instant Artist

I'm so excited to be posting about Orly's Instant Artist Nail Kit, lucky for me I won this through twitter. I'm a twitter addict and love tweeting so please pop along and tweet with me @sherrie821
♥ RRP £28.95 ♥

I had never tried Orly before so this was really exciting because I had heard lots of positive comments about the brand on twitter and blogs which I follow. Lucky for me I won their New Instant Artist Starter Kit and as an extra one of their normal lacquers. I must admit I'm not very confident when it comes to nail art and have often thought that because I don't have the most glamorous long nails that nail art would look silly on my nails. Well wasn't I wrong? This starter kit has really changed my thoughts about nail art, it goes to show you don't need long nails to have pretty nails.

The kit comprises of 5 primary shades and one dotter duo, the actual brush tip in the polishes is brill a tapered brush helps you to be creative without having to be too cautious. These shades are great and the kit is a great start for any novice or experienced Nail technician.

Prince Charming certainly has charmed me ♥ Prince Charming is a stunning Rich Creme, I would say it's almost like a muddy brown shade. I was surprised about the size of the bottle, a full sized bottle is a whooping 18ml which is HUGE.

The polish formula coats very well and evenly I love the 'gripper' handle, such a great idea!
After I had painted my nails I got my creative flare on and created a simple yet elegant mani using the Instant Artist Kit. This is my 1st attempt so please be kind!

This was such a quick and simple mani to create, I love zebra and leopard prints so thought I would try a zebra print design. I used the Jet Black & Crisp White to create the zebra print on the corners of each nail. I painted the full design on the ring finger which looks ok I think, I like how each nail has a small amount of the same design whilst the ring finger carries the main design. I have a few more ideas which I hope to try out soon. I also want to try the dotter tool, so if anyone has any ideas of designs/looks please let me know and I my brave it! ha ha!

I would love to try some more colours from Orly, the Sweet collection is right up my street. As you may already know I am a big fan of pastel shades, I like the look of Pixy Stix, Lollipop, Gumdrop and Cotton Candy.

Have you tried Orly? Which shades do you love?

You can find Orly on twitter @InstantArtist and they also have a Facebook Fanpage

Liz Earle Foot Spritzer

Hot, tired, achey feet?? I have my hand up, I often find myself with my feet perched up in the evening after a long busy day. Especially with the warmer weather my feet get very hot and uncomfortable when I'm in bed and it can be really annoying! However having a Foot Spritzer has been bliss ♥ I have this by my bedside but also carry it around in my handbag as it's handy to have on me. I was at the park last week and I had my sandals on and my skin felt hot and uncomfortable so I was able to spray and cool them down.

♥ £7.15 (75ml) ♥

Liz Earle say-

Spritz your feet, legs and ankles with a cooling and invigorating burst of nine essential oils. This fast drying spray fights odour-causing bacteria to help keep feet fresh. It’s the perfect wake-up for weary feet, leaving them revived and revitalised.

As with all Liz Earle products this is a real treat for you feet ♥ the ingredients are naturally sourced and all have healing properties. The scent is subtle and refreshing which is nice and doesn't over power the product. I think if it was heavily fragrant it may put people off but this is very soft and subtle.

Liz Earle have recently one two Prestigious Awards at this year's CEW UK Awards, these awards are like the creme de la creme.
The very popular Botanical Shine Shampoo was awarded Best New Haircare/Styling Product, this is still in it's first year and has made a big impact on the hair world. Check out my review here
The second award Liz Earle received was Best British Brand which is amazing and very much deserved! Well Done the Liz Earle team you ALL deserve it

Also not forgetting another three finalists, the famous Cleanse & Polish, Energising Body lotion and Superskin Eye & Lip Treatment.

For a limited time only to celebrate their huge success Liz Earle have put together a special kit called Best British Brand Collection which comprises of -

Cleanse & Polish 50ml & Muslin Cloth
Instant Boost Skin Tonic 50ml
Skin Repair Moisturiser ( you pick your skin type ) 15ml Tube
Superskin Concentrate 2ml
Superskin Bodycream 50ml tube

For your chance to join in the celebrations you better be quick as this offer ends on the 5th June!

Have you tried any of the products mentioned above? How do you treat your feet to a nice little pampering?

I've got a lovely bunch of Coconuts...

Did that grab your attention? Well don't panic there's no nudity photos!
Coconut is a favourite scent of mine and always conjures up childhood memories, I had long hair as a child and my mum use to wash my hair and then always comb through Coconut conditioner. So Coconut is a scent close to my heart. Dirty Works have two new products which are perfect for the Summer months ahead.

Coconut Caress Body Butter comes in a very generous 300ml tub which is fab because these tubs can be re-used once all the product has gone. Which to be fair wont take me long as I LOVE coconut ♥ The packaging is very quint and girly as usual which I like. I tend to use this after a bath/shower giving my skin a much deserved treat, my dry skin drinks the body butter up and then leaves a very soft subtle aroma of coconut on the skin. Or if I'm getting ready to go out I apply this all over the body and then I use the very glamorous Get Glowing Shimmer Puff!

♥ £4.99 (300ml) ♥

Get Glowing Shimmer Puff is very feminine as you can probably tell by the packaging and the image of the elegant lady on the front of the box. The shimmer puff is so cute and instantly reminded me of when Benefit use to have a range of boxed shimmer puffs, lucky for us though this shimmer puff does not carry a very expensive price tag which is a super bonus!
This is best used over the top of the Body Butter for 2 reasons, firstly and mainly the shimmer will last longer on the skin as the layer of Body Butter almost acts as a bond. Secondly using the shimmer puff seals the layer of coconut letting the fragrance last longer. On the back of the box it actually says you can also use this for cheekbones, forehead, nose and chin for a golden shimmery glow. I'm not 100% sure I would use it on all of those areas but I would use it on the cheekbones and maybe very soflty down the centre of the nose. You would have to be careful though as you wouldn't want a shimmer face! lol
I think the best places are the legs, down the shin is very pretty! On the arms and chest area and on the back if you have straps.

♥ £5.99 (10g)♥

You can pick up these from leading Sainsbury's nationwide, if Dirty Works is new to you then please check out my Skincare post on their Fab Facial Wipes & Eye Concealer which is amazing for dark circles. You can find the post here.

Five Favourites

I wanted to share with you my current 5 favourites which I've been either using daily or been reaching for the most, and they are...

♥ Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara ♥
♥ e.l.f Mineral Lipstick ( Runway Pink ) ♥
♥ Estee Lauder Idealist ♥
♥ Liz Earle Daily Eye Repair ♥
♥ Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation ♥

Clinique High Impact Curling Mascara has been one of my favourites and thanks to my lovely Mother In-Law who is a big Clinique user I have heaps of these and their normal High Impact Mascara which is in the black tube stashed away. Luckily for me she doesn't use their mascaras so whenever she gets the gifts she always takes them out and passes them onto me. The latest Clinique gift from House Of Fraser is a really good one and she ended up spending a bit got 4 gifts so I have a lovely stash of them now! I love how the curved brush really coats each lash indiviually and they look just as good when first applied to the moment I'm taking off my makeup in the evening. What is your favourite Mascara?

e.l.f Mineral Lipstick in Runaway has to be my most reached for lipstick, and the price is even better! When I make another e.l.f order I will certainly be adding another one of these as a back up. Sometimes I wear this alone for a beautiful natural pink nude colour or I use my Barry M lipgloss over the top which looks stunning also.
I fancy trying some other shades out so if anyone else has any suggestions please feel free to share.

Estee Lauder Idealist has been fairly new to my skincare regime and I have really started to notice a difference in my pore size. I hate pores especially mine and I have medium sized pores on my nose and chin and hate them! Yes I admit to squeezing them over the years and no matter how many times I squeeze they come back! So I have now thought I would try a product which claims to minimize them. I have used this for a couple months now and am starting to notice the difference especially when I apply my foundation my pores look smaller. This is a 7ml sample and you need a very small amount. I have this on my list to buy with my birthday money which isnt till December!! But hey I can have lists lol Im not sure how much a full sized costs but I would pay it as I know it would last me. I love the texture a creamy gel like serum which feels like silk on the skin.

Liz Earle Daily Eye Repair has become a staple product in my skincare regime, I enjoy using this in the morning because it has light reflecting particles in it which instantly brightens the eye area. Plus being a busy mummy of 2 little ones I need all the help I can get in the eye department! Another bonus is the SPF10 which is another factor which I now take into consideration since I will be approaching the BIG 30 next year! Shhhhhh!!!

Lastly is a product which I have been using daily Rimmel Stay Matte Foundation which is not a finish I normally go for. I have dry skin so tend to stay away from Matte finishes but this foundation is lovely and I actually bought this as it was cheap and at the time I just needed something cheap and cheerful. So this turned out to be a great find!

Nars Highlighting Blush

The NARS Summer Collection caught my eye and one product in particular sent my heart all a flutter, you know the feeling you get when you see something which makes you feel excited inside ♥ Well that was in fact NARS Highlighting Blush in New Order!

£20.50

'A soft pink, with gold/silver shimmer'

When I first opened up the Highlighting compact I was happily surprised how similar the texture is compared to Macs MSF. I'm an avid fan of MSFs so this has been welcomed with open arms into my collection. I love Highlighters and always use them over the top of my blush to help finish off the look. Highlighters can totally transform a look not only just for the cheeks but you can add a little highlight on other ares of the face and body. I must admit though after swatching this I would say it's more on the sparkly side so I've been using this solely as a highlight rather than a blush. This is Limited Edition though peeps so if this catches your eye I would snap one up quick to avoid disappointment.

I would really recommend you check this little beauty out before it's to late when you spend over £25 on the NARS online store you receive complimentary P&P which is a bonus ♥

I just wanted to share some other types of highlighters which have also caught my eye and they are the NARS Liquid Illuminators. There are 4 shades which all look stunning, however the shades which really caught my eyes where Orgasm and Super Orgasm which is a new shade. These sound like fab products and would be a staple in any ones kit, you can use these mixed in with primer, foundation or use as a facial highlighter.
The next highlighting product is the NARS Multiple which is in stick form and again can be used in so many ways. There are 12 shades to pick from and believe me it would be very hard to pick as they all sound so nice! I like the look and sound of Lamu which is a 'Glazed Apricot with Gold Sparkle!' Now come on doesn't that sound divine! See I told you I get VERY excited when it comes to highlighters! The other shade which is limited edition and actually part of the Portrait Of Paradise Collection is in fact the ever popular shade Laguna but for a limited time only you can now love this shade in the form of a Multiple!

Have you tried any of the NARS highlighters? Which ones are your favourite? Please share your thoughts ♥

Accessorize Paradise Summer Fragrances

If you are a regular follower of my blog then it will come as no surprise to you when I say I LOVE fragrance! I am a total Magpie when it comes to Fragrance and Makeup!

£10 each ( 30ml)

I have been wearing fresh , fruity lighter scents when the weather has been hot and humid. The latest additions to my fragrance infatuation is Bliss and Butterfly which are both EDTs from Accessorize. The packaging is very chic and pretty. The boxes are great to use as storage holders for your makeup, I have been using mine for my makeup brushes!

Butterfly is a delicate floral scent which is perfect as a day fragrance and is very easy to wear without being an over powering scent.

♥ A blend of Jasmine ♥
♥ Rose & White Flowers ♥

Bliss is my favourite and for me is a distinctive scent which I was instantly drawn to! This could be both a day fragrance and evening fragrance for someone who likes a softer evening fragrance but still likes a scent which lingers on the skin.

♥ A fresh burst of Apple ♥
♥ Green Tea ♥
♥ Cassis ♥

These are a great size to carry around in your bag, because they are light scents you can top up your scent through out the day as and when you desire. Bliss lasts a little longer on myself I find but everyones skin is different and so the notes can settle and smell slightly different on everyone. The price is also another good factor, these would make lovely gifts for your friends or family and in a way you wouldn't need to wrap it as the boxes are so stunning on their own I would want to show it off!

Has anyone tried their Signature Fragrance? The bottle looks stunning and I'm sure smells just as good as it looks.

I recommend you have a look at Bliss & Butterfly next time your walking by ♥

MEMEME Generous Nail Polish

Following on from my 'Pastel' crush I have a stunning Lilac polish which is so gorgeous and has to be one of my favored pastel shades. I first saw this featured on the gorgeous Lydia from 'The Way Is Essex' hit Tv show. I was fixated on her nails and knew I had to find out the brand and shade. Luckily for me this was not as hard as I first thought, after searching on twitter I found Lydia and she had infact answered a tweet about the polish mentioning the brand which was in fact MEMEME Cosmetics which was brill! A brand which is easily accessible in the UK and is affordable so this was a win win!

Generous

This is the second polish I have tried from the MEMEME Cosmetics Nail range, the colour is perfect and exactly as I remember it on Lydia. I like the wide chunky brush, it means you can literally coat the nail in one brush stroke almost. The formula is nice and the colour coats the nail without it looking wishy washy. If you are a fan of pastel shades I would recommend you check this one out when your next in Superdrug!

The bottles are a very 'Generous' (lol sorry for the pun) 12ml which is super value for £4.50.

Have you tried any of the polishes from MEMEME Cosmetics? Which ones have you tried?

Thanks for reading have a great day ♥

Topshop Makeup

Hello lovelies this is my second attempt of writing this post after the big 'WHO HA' with Blogger last week! So annoying Did anyone else lose any posts they did? Well it's a good job this post is something which I could talk and talk and talk about TOPSHOP MAKEUP!
I have wanted to try Topshop Makeup for some time now and am very pleased to share my thoughts with you on some products from the latest Sandstorm collection.
I want to take the time to talk about the packaging, I LOVE the design and the simplicity of packaging. I think Topshop certainly found a gap in the market design wise, the hand drawn image of a lipstick on the boxes is great. The packaging changes when new collections are released whilst the Core packaging remains the same.

♥ Sandstorm Packaging ♥

♥ Core Collection Packaging ♥

I wanted to share some images because I feel Topshop have done a good job design wise so thumbs up from me

LinkFirst up is from the Sandstorm Collection and is a Crayon in the shade Equinox, this is described online as a rose gold shade but I would beg to differ. You can see swatches below of all the products I mention in this post. I think Equinox is a stunning metallic gold neither yellow nor rose. I've been using this daily on my lids and love the look it gives to the eyes. My eyes look fresh and brighter, for me this is can be used 3 different ways which I know of. I have used this all over the lid as my main shade which looks gorgeous with a small amount in the tear duct part. Another way is using this as a primer/base for your shadows, this has some serious staying power which I found out when I tried to clean the swatches from my hand. Then as an experiment I thought this would be worth a try as a highlighter on the cheek bones which surprised me and worked. It gave a very subtle gold highlight which looked pretty over the top of the cream blush.

♥ £8.50 ♥

Next up is a stunning Eye Duo from the Sandstorm range which is described as silver/plum, I would agree and say the colours are a silvery highlight and a rich deep plum shade which is great for a dramatic look. I found the baked duo so easily to use and blend and love the fact these can be used dry or wet for a more intenselook, I want to try the plum shade wet as an eyeliner!

♥ £8 ♥

Sadly the next item was a bit of a disappointment for myself :( Cheek Duo in Desert Sun.
When I first saw this online I knew this would be a product which would appeal to me. I am a HUGE fan of blush and bronzers so this is a double wammy of excitement but sadly this is not pigmented much. The bronzer is ok and workable, I use this all over for a soft subtle glow and this is great for contouring as the finish is matt. However I wish I could say the same about the blush but I really struggled to get any colour onto my fingertip so swatch for you, as you can tell from my swatches below this is very faint. I know compact powders are pressed but this is pressed so much to the point nothing comes off, you can see from the photo below how much I had to rub the top layer to reveal any colour. Has anyone else found the same problem? If this was finely milled and more pigmented this would've been a stunning a product! ♥

♥ £12 ♥

Tawny Lip colour looks like a gloss but in fact is a matt lip colour, think of a liquid mat lipstick and you've got it! This is so different from anything I have and feels so moisturising on the lips, the colour is perfect for me and great to wear with most looks. The staying power is another plus, not sure if this is down to the matt finish but I was impressed with how long this lasted on my lips. I would love to try the other shade in the collection called Daze a stunning vibrant pink!

♥ £7.50 ♥

♥ SWATCHES CLICK TO ENLARGE ♥

Take a peak at my FOTD I created using the products mentioned above...

Thanks for taking the time to read cherubs, I'm just so impressed with Topshop Makeup they other great affordable makeup which is bang on trend!

I would really LOVE to know what are your favourite Topshop Makeup items? Please share ♥
