A Scent By Issey Miyake

A scent By Issey Miyake has been a breathe of fresh air for me thanks to the simple plain bottle and the unique uplifting fresh scent. When I first saw the bottle I was pleasantly surprised and loved the simplicity of the design and shape. I definatley believe in the motto 'Less is More' and this fits perfectly on this occasion.

♥ Top Notes ♥
Verbena

♥ Heart Notes ♥
Hyacinth & Jasmine

♥ Base Notes ♥
Galbanum

Issey Miyake describe this as-

A fresh, floral and woody Eau de Toilette. A unique fragrance of natures essentials: leaves, flowers and woods. Fresh notes of Hyacinth and Galbanum provide the perfume with a green, floral heart, enchanced by uplifting Verbena and a hint of Jasmine.

When I first sprayed this it did remind me of a gents fragrance and even my husband commented on how 'manly' it smelt. However after allowing the fragrance to settle it soon came apparent how feminine and delicate the scent actually is. I like the frosted design on the sides of the bottle and how the name of the fragrance is in bold writing on the front making a big statement.

You can pick up a bottle of this for as little as £16.50! If this appeals to you then I would recommend you pop along to Escentual.com where they have a special offer on the 30/50/100mls.

Have you tried A scent by Issey Miyake? What is your favourite Issey Miyake scent?

Street Party bath ballistic By LUSH

For a limited time only Lush have welcomed back Street Party, a fun filled bath ballistic which is a party waiting to explode. Street Party has been welcomed back not only in time for the Royal Wedding but also to celebrate the great achievement the co-founders Mark & Mo constantine have recieveing their OBE medals. Originally made to celebrate the Queen's Golden Jubilee, so another excuse to re-introduce this for another royal celebration.

♥ £2.95 ♥

I love the Union Jack Flag tag, a very nice touch if I say so myself ♥ Once you drop this huge bath ballistic in your bath be ready for a party! Gold glitter, streamers and golden stars will be over taking your bath with a very fun experience. I would get one of these while you still can as I imagine they will be very popular.

Here's a video showing the Street/bath party, the scent was lovely and very herbal thanks to Lavender.

Thanks for reading and watching! Have a great Royal Weekend ♥

Still time to treat yourself guilt -free with Lush Easter Treats

I'm sure you would've seen the charming Easter collection by Lush, the bath ballistics are so cute! When my son saw these he got so excited and couldn't wait to try them out, he picked Fluffy Egg first which is no surprise. I must admit I was drawn to the Egg because of the vibrant purple pink colouring.

♥ £ 2.95 ♥

You can imagine the colour of the bath a stunning fuschia colour, the scent was Lush and reminded me of my favourite shower gel Snow Fairy. This is described as a similar scent to Snow Fairy the popular bubblegum and banana fragrance. I would recommend you pick this up to try you wont be disappointed!

Next up has to be my favourite, meet Donkey Oaty he is so pretty and smells divine! I wonder if their is a fragrance which smells similar? If I could bottle up this scent I would, has anyone else tried him? Lush say the scent is the same as Charity Pot so I need to try that out for sure. The mixture of Ylang Ylang and Geranium is stunning and quite sensual I think, he has fine strips of rice paper which float in away in the bath. Before I read the description about him he did remind me of a colourful Pinata. If you could only try one thing from the range I would say hands down you have to try him. He looks sweet and smells amazing! I need a huge tub of these!

♥ £1.95 ♥

Tweet tweet well I love twitter and when I saw this sweet chubby chick I thought he was very appropriate for me to try. Hippy Chick is more of a fresh zesty scent which is a nice contrast to the other scents. This chick was so popular last year he has made a come back again to swoon us in a different colour. The scent is the same as Happy Hippy a zesty combo of Grapefruit, Bergamot and Frankincense work well together to give you a nice perk me up.

♥ £1.90 ♥

Have you tried anything from the Easter collection?

Thanks for reading and have a great sunny day

Feel Like a Royal with the NEW OPI Britannia collections

As you are all aware the Royal Wedding is taking place on Friday, so why not feel like one of the Royals with OPIs latest Cool Britanna collection. OPI have got their thinking crowns on and have come up with 3 collections to celebrate the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Katherine Middleton.

♥ £28.50 each collection ♥

Take your royal pick between Cool Britannia, Red, White and Blue and Royal Flush.

I'm sure you'll all agree the shades look very regal and elegant, you can order these online from www.lenawhite.co.uk

♥ ♥ ♥

I was very fortunate to try some shades one of which is from the Royal Flush collection and is Royal Flush Blush,I couldn't have picked a better name myself for this shade! The other 2 shades are equally regal and would be perfect for any Princess and they are from the Soft Shades collection.

♥ Princesses Rule! Sweet Heart Royal Flush Blush ♥

These shades are probably not what I would normally pick but I have to say they are very pretty and girly which I love ♥

First up Royal Flush Blush, this is described as an 'All girl pink pearl- deal with it!'
This is a Frost finish which is an iridescent with a subtle glimmer.

This is a lovely shade for the summer and works well with a tan! I currently have this on my toes and love it ♥

Next up is Sweet Heart which is described as 'Be mine they won't be able to resist you or your nails' the finish is slightly different being a sheer light tint to the nail. I personally think this shade builds well and looks fab all over. This would also be perfect for french polishes.

I kept Royal Flush Blush on my ring finger and then added a couple coats of Princesses Rule! I love the contrast in shades.

I had a little play around with the shades so you can see how versatile they are. What collections have you been rocking lately? I love the look of the New Pirates of the Carribean collection!

Has anyone tried the Nicole by OPI polishes? They look fab and love the look of Step 2 The Beat of My Heart

You can check out these gorgeous polishes and a huge selection of others on... www.lenawhite.co.uk

Also if you have an iPhone or Ipod touch you can download the OPI app for free HERE
and I just checked there is also an Nicole by OPI app which is free so check out the links as these are great apps to use.

Storage & how it's displayed

A little while ago I was reading the lovely Fee's blog Makeup Savvy and she did such a great post on storage displays and how we store & display our products. This got me thinking lots about how I display my items and how I would like to display them.

I have been displaying my perfumes in a hat box lid which was from the S&G Big Thrill gift a couple years ago. My perfumes just about fit, I will be doing a seperate post on my collection so heads up!

Heres how I store my current nail polishes, this cute little ceramic trinket tray was given to me by my grandad. It use to be my Great-Grandmothers which is very special to think she once used this and now I have it to cherish, I have 2 of them.

I store my samples and products which I'm trying to use up in this vintage design mini pot which my mum gave me and this also use to belong to my Great-Grandparents I love the design on the front. It's nice to use these and put special things in them to show off, I simply have these on my side where I store my makeup and skincare.

How do you display and store your items?

Product Combos I'm loving

Every once in a while you find 2 random products which work so well together! I found 2 lip products and 2 face products which I've been wearing together and enjoying both the benefits!

E.l.f Mineral Lipstick in Runway Pink with Barry Ms Lipgloss, I've swatched them seperately and then together.

I've been wearing this combo for a over a week now and love it! Im so happy that I managed to get 2 of these lipglosses when they had the offer on so I have a back up, Runway Pink is on my list for a back up when I make my next E.l.f order.

♥ ♥ ♥

Then for the face my beloved Mac Stereo Rose and Barbara Daly together, same as before I have swatched them individually then together.

These work so well together and give me such a nice flash of colour on the cheeks which I love this time of year! I have been lusting over Estee Lauders Sea Star Bronzer but it is a little pricey so Barbara Dalys Summer bronzer will have to do!

Here is a FOTD using both of the combos

Also couldn't help but get my extensions in he he! I love love love them!

What are your favourite combos? Have you found a good combo recently? Do share ♥

New Skincare by Snowberry

Today I will be reviewing a product from a NEW brand called Snowberry.
Soraya Hendesi is the founder of Snowberry and as a young child she use to make cosmetics from the flowers in her garden. I must admit I did try as a little girl to collect rose petals amongst other flowers from my Grans garden to make perfume! Who else remembers these little childhood memories?
The Snowberry brand is from New Zealand, using the most finest and natural ingredients found from New Zealand as well as remote places around the world. I have been using their Cellular Regeneration Night Cream suitable for 25yrs+

£39

The packaging is very eye catching and looks so different from anything I have seen. The artistry is thanks to london artist Rob Ryan who created the signature look for Snowberry, a very whimsical look which I love! The purple figured lady on the front of the box reminds me of Alice in Wonderland and so you could say Snowberry is a wonderland itself with the ethos and product range.

You may have noticed the Carbon Zero logo featured on the back of the box, this means Snowberry are certified that they manage to produce 'Carbon Neutral' so they have super green fingers. If you would like to read more about this matter then please click on the link above.
Cellular Regeneration Night Cream is on the pricey side for a night cream but when you look at the tender loving care which has gone into the production of this product you can understand why. With ingredients such as Lingon berry, Strawberry Seed, Cloud berry and Murity this cream is very moisturising and nourishing for the skin. Phytic Acid is naturally present in all plant seeds which improves cellular water retention. Whilst Marine Glycoproteins encourage a natural stimulation of collagen production and skin elastins which I'm sure you will all agree sounds just the ticket!

Snowberry advise you apply a small amount of the cream over face and neck area in the evening after cleansing and serums.

I have been using this for over 2 weeks now, I love the feel and look of my skin in the morning. I have a natural colour to my skin and some days I've just used concealer on my dark circles to hide them.

You can find Snowberry online at Escentual.com they are a fantastic online retailer who are super friendly and offer great advice.

Have you tried Snowberry? What are your thoughts on the Brand? Has anyone tried their Instant Deep Cleanser?
