Thank god for The GODMOTHER

Hello cherubs! I am so excited to share this with you, for all you Snow*Fairy fanatics out there you NEED to get to your nearest Lush store and grab some Godmother soap. I know some of you may already know that The Godmother smells very much like our beloved Snow*Fairy but for those of you who don't then fear not you can get your Snow*Fairy fix whenever you like. PHEW * Wipes brow*

So here is a snap shot of The Godmother

100g £2.79

She is a beautiful deep pink and smells sublime if only this was smell-0-vision ♥

I like to cut my soap into manageable bars, I use a sharp knife and slice through the soap. Try not to chop it but slice it as the blade should then cut through the soap easier and also you will have nice clean cut bars. * PLEASE BE CAREFUL* You can always ask the Lush staff to cut your bars in the shop.
I managed to cut 4 bars out of this chunk which is brill

The next goodie which I have been interested in is one of their solid Hair bars! Meet Godiva she looks and smells of Jasmine which is just gorgeous♥ Whenever I look at her I think of Spring and Summer . Godiva costs £5.75 which you may think at first is a little more than you would part with your pennies but look at all the magical ingredients ♥
Shea Butter, Cocoa Butter, Cameila Oil, Organic Jojoba Oil, Organic Macadamia Nut Oil, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, Ylang Ylang Oil, Jasmine Flowers and much more

I followed the instructions which I read from my latest copy of the Lush Times. This is so simple to use as you can imagine, stroke the bar on wet hair once or twice depending on your length. I did mine a couple times. This lathers up so quickly so you only need a little bit. Then once you feel like you have enough in your hair, massage this from the scalp to the tips. Then rinse through and use conditioner if needed. My hair smelt so good after using this and hardly any of the bar was used. Godiva costs £5.75 and I would be very interested to know how many washes you get out of this. Lush say the solid Shampoo & Conditioner bars are the way forward for being green. I must agree, think of all the bottles which clutter up our bathroom space.

Have you tried any soild Hair bars?

TRESemme 24hr Body

I keep meaning to post about this little beauty! I was lucky to win this in a giveaway a while ago before christmas. So I just wanted to do another post to share with you my thoughts.

I must admit this product would'nt be something which I would normally pick up at the shops, so I was excited to try it out! I read the back and followed the instructions as I was a little unsure what the best way is to use this product and get the most out of it.

I found this super easy to use and such quick results, bonus! ♥ I think TREsemme best explain this so in their words this is how do it♥
  1. Hold bottle 8-10 inches from head and spray onto freshly washed hair, lifting sections of hair and directing the spray at the roots.
  2. Tip your head upside down and blow-dry using a vent brush until hair is 90% dry.
  3. Then flip your head back over and finish drying, using a vent or round brush to lift hair away from the scalp to encourage extra volume at the roots.
  4. For ultimate body at your roots, after you finish blow-drying, set warm hair on Velcro rollers, blow dry for another 5 minutes before letting hair cool down completely, then gently remove.

Sometimes I don't use the hairdryer and if I just want a little lift I just spray a little into the roots and using my hands like a hair diffuser I scrunch up my hair and create a lift that way.

Before ♥

After ♥

So there you go, what do you think? I love it and would recommend it to you all. You can pick this up at Boots, Superdrug and I'm sure supermarkets stock this also. TRESemme are often holding offers so keep your eyes peeled. I just checked on the Boots website it retails at £5.39 250ml, which is such great value.

I would love to try more of their styling range, would you recommend anything to try? Let me know! I have'nt forgot my review about the Naturals Shampoo & Conditioner, I will review these shortly. I picked them up at my local Boots as they were on offer, have you tried anything from the Naturals range yet?

Thanks for stopping by :)

Friday Facial

YAY!!! It's Friday ♥ So yo you know this only means one thing Friday Facial

Today I have something a little different though, this time a treat for your eyes which still counts!
Seeings it's Friday I'm sure there are a few of you out there who have early morning starts and for the likes of me late evenings.
So what better treat than Anti Puffiness Cool Eyes these are under eye patches which are cooled in the fridge! So grab a cuppa, or a glass of wine and sit back and CHILL ♥

( 2x2 Patches )

These packs just keep getting better don't they? I mean 99p for 2 applications, you can't go wrong. I did review some of these a little while ago but this is the first time I have tried the Anti-Puffiness ones. The pack is re-sealable just tear the top where the little tear mark is and then you can seal back up and pop the other application in the fridge for another time.

They are very slippery so just be careful and try not to handle them too much as you want to keep as much of the solution on the patches as possible. They contain a blend of plant collagen, liquorice and pumkin which all helps to calm any puffiness.

These are the patches and as you can see they have very thin transparent films which just slide off make sure you have removed these so that you can stick them to your under eye area easy.

On the pack they suggest you leave these on for 30-50 minutes which is some time, I did feel that once mine had been on for 30mins that was enough for me. Once the solution had been asborbed into the eye area the patches became a little uncomfortable. However I still really enjoyed using them and this would not put me off using these in the future. Maybe I should try and persevere next time and see what they are like at 40/50 minutes. Has anyone else tried these and left them on for the full length of time?

Have a great weekend!

New Batiste Coloured Dry Shampoo

I know you probably have seen a few of these reviews but wanted to share with you my thoughts on the product. For those of you who have not yet read about these I shall reveal more! Batiste have released a new range of coloured Dry Shampoos tailored to your hair colour. Ok there are only 3 shades BUT they are very versatile.

♥£2.99 ( 150ml )♥

The shades available are-

Light and Blonde Hair
Medium and Brunette Hair
Dark and Deep Brown Hair

So which one do you fall under? Well if you follow me then you'll know I have chocolate coloured hair with a hint of red. I have the Medium and Brunette can and think this is perfect for me. I really like the look of the packaging and the design of the hair interwining on the can, it reminds me of a 70s fashion design print I have.

I was very impressed with the colour pay off, and this honestly covered my hair well. I was a little disappointed in the scent and it didn't really smell as I would've hoped. I am still a huge fan of the Brit Dry Shampoo. I was comparing them which I know may be a little unfair as they are totally different, I just feel this does not have the freshness which Brit has.

Here is a photo showing you the colour of the spray, I had to spray a few times because it dries pretty fast. Great colour, and this also claims to disguise stray greys! Well that gets the thumbs up from me, I have a few stray greys which are not yet noticeable to you but I am good at hiding them.

You can pick up your can from Boots, Superdrug and some selected pharmacies.

Thanks for stopping by :)

Lush Lush and more Lush!

I often find myself saying oh that smells LUSH and whether or not it is actually a LUSH product I always think of that particular brand. Does anyone else? I have a few goodies which I wanted to share with you and let you know what I think. First up we have the Geo Phyzz Bath Ballistic which smells so good and uplifting which is just what I need with these early mornings and the cold weather oustide! I used this the other evening and it really helped soothe my achey legs from running around all day after 2 little ones! This is certainly one for you parents out there who like to unwind in a bath. Or if your on your feet all day.

Geo Phyzz is made up of sea salt and when fizzing away happily in the bath you can see the gleaming salt crystals falling away from the ballistic. In my Lush Times it says Breathe in the steam as the Sandalwood, pine and cypress oils work to relieve your tired mind and muscles. And relax... ♥ I think that about covers it! Plus this little beauty only sets you back £2.35! Well worth it.

Here are a couple snap shots of Geo Phyzz in action...

The bath water turns a very subtle shade of soft green.

Another product which is new to me is their Emotibombs I have of course seen and read about these. Whenever I'm sent the latest copy of Lush Times I get all excited and read it front to back! I do have showers but I LOVE having baths more. However in the morning when I need to get myself going I have a shower and must admit I struggle getting out of bed some mornings and on this particular morning I thought wait a minute I know what can get me motivated is 'Up you Gets'!

Incase your new to Emotibombs like me then you'll need to know how you use them. Simple place the Emotibomb on the shower floor under the shower water and enjoy the aroma as the Emotibomb fizzes away just like a bath ballistic. These are great if you don't like baths but still want that special treat. Up You Gets contains all the live and kicking (does anyone else remember that from your Saturday morning childhoods?) ingredients you need in the morning. Such as grapefruit, lime and lemon oils, just typing that gets my sour taste buds going all funny!

Here is a snap shot of it in action...

The aroma which evaporates is truly fresh and lemony, and really awakens your senses.

Meet Buffy and no not the vampire slayer but the body slayer! Buffy has become a very good friend of mine. I think this is great a body butter and scrub in one, perfect for when time is not on your hands. Buffy is a buttery lavender scrub and guess what... smells LUSH. I guess you'd already sussed that out lol!

I really enjoy using this and even though at first you may think £5.25 (90g) seems a lot it's not considering this leaves your skin moisturised. So no need to spend time in the morning applying body lotions this does it all for you in the shower or bath.
In my Lush times they describe this as- A hard-core scrubber to rid your bod of dry skin and cellulite! Grab one of these babies for super soft skin scented with a lavender and lemon twist! Packed with ground rice, aduki beans and almonds.

You use Buffy like you would a scrub, wet your skin and the bar and buff away remembering to buff those bumpy bits to get your circulation flowing. I have been using this on what I call my Mummy Tummy and my thighs and my skin feels and looks better.

At first I thought yeah right I'm still going to need to use some body lotion, but I was wrong. Buffy leaves a layer of moisture on the skin which feels soft and supple.

Thanks for stopping by :) Have you tried any of these? What Lush products do you use often?

New Essensity Range By Schwarzkopf

Shiny, Healthy, colour vibrancy are all benefits which I have been seeing since using the new Essensity range by Schwarzkopf.
The range covers 4 areas and a styling collection, these are the ranges-

Colour- Colour Treated Hair
Moisture- Dry to Coarse Hair
Repair- Damaged Hair
Volume- Fine to Normal Hair

If you follow my blog then you will know I dye my hair and recently used the popular John Frieda Precision Foam dye on my hair. So when I was sent these to try I thought ideal because I can really test them and see if they deliver what they claim.

The shampoo and conditioner both smell different, I can't quite make my mind up about them. Everytime I use them I think NO I like it and then the next time I think NO I don't like it. Funny how our senses change, the New Essensity Range has 0% ammonia, artificial fragrances and colourants, harmful silicones, paraffin oils and parabens. This range is so pure and contains organic essences and essential oils. If you would like to read more about this then please check out the site here.

Shampoo £10.15 250ml & Conditioner £11.15 200ml

After reading about the range and the theory behind it I can see why they decided on the colour green for the packaging, however I would've thought maybe they could've colour coded the ranges a little bit better than they have. Maybe have the main bottles green but the caps a different colour depending on the range. However I suppose that doesn't matter as it's what's inside that counts.

Both shampoo and conditoner have left my hair feeling nourished and light, I don't have thick hair but alot of it! So this shampoo and conditioner does not lay heavy on the hair, after using Liz Earle Haircare and then using this I realise that the conditoner from LE did weigh my hair down. I did think I was using it wrong but Im not sure how you use conditioner wrong. But anyway sorry for rambling on, what I'm trying to say is this is light and easy on the hair and the scalp. I can often get an irritated scalp and have tried various natural remedies but this range seems to be fine. Whether it's the organic essences or essential oils or the fact it is free from all the nasties I don't know but I think this is well worth the money.

£12.70 200ml

Within the Colour range they also have a Leave in condtioner which is recommended to use on wet hair once a week for extra hydration and instant vibrancy. Again I have become a fan of this, easy to use and not heavy or clingy on the hair.

Luckily I had a product to try from the styling range which was their Natural Shine serum, again to be honest I have been using this daily. I just apply a little each day and my hair doesn't feel like it has a build up of product. My hair feels so healthy and in great condition.

£11.15 50ml

Blushes I'm loving right now...

I just wanted to share with you 3 blushers which I have been loving recently and felt they deserved a mention. Also not forgetting the E.L.F Blush Brush which I am also favouring.

Mac Highland Honey (Satin), Rimmel London 001 Santa Rose (satin/matte) and 17 cosmetics Plum Puff (Matte).

They all are very subtle and give a nice natural glow to the face I like the Matte look at the moment and these 3 shades are the ones which I have been using most. 17 cosmetics and Rimmel are both affordable brands where as Mac is a little more pennies but still worth every penny! I purchased some E.L.F brushes around christmas time and have been using them every day. I will do another post showing you the brushes I got and what I think of them.

Liz Earle Hand Repair

Morning sweeties, hope your all having a lovely weekend and not too cold! I wanted to share with you a review on Liz Earles Hand Repair. Seeings the weather has gone bitterly cold where I live I've been reaching for this a few times actually during the day. Not only is this a treatment for the hands but also the nails and cuticles.

£14.80 (100ml)

Well Liz Earle have done it again and delivered us another charming product. What makes Liz Earle so magical is simple, the ingredients. The ingredients used are sourced and used in such a way that is second to none. I was trying to find the best way to describe Liz Earle in a nut shell and then when I read their Philosophy I was like YEAH! That's exactly how I feel about the brand.

Liz Earle Naturally Active Skincare offer simple, no-fuss beauty products that really work on all skin types by harnessing the potent powers of the finest naturally active ingredients.

Hand Repair has been a life saver for me this past week, I have had such dry and sore chapped hands. Especially where my wedding rings are, does anyone else find this? Being a busy mummy my hands to take some wear and so it's nice to give my hands that special treat they deserve!

As you can imagine this smells enchanting like all Liz Earle products I have tried. They keep you wanting more. I wish I had a Liz Earle Larder where I could just go and smell all the products! Now thats enchanting don't you think?
I can immediately detect the scent of Lavender and Neroli which are within Hand Repair as well as a few other first-class ingredients.

The pump comes with a small little stopper, all you need to do is pull on the little tab to remove the stopper and then discard. There's no need to keep the stopper as you have a lid which keeps the product clean. The pump is easy to use and one pump is enough to hydrate the hands. However I do like the fact with a tube you feel like you can get every last drop of product out.

Have you tried Hand Repair?

Friday Facial

Hello twinkles it's that time again ♥Friday Facial♥ is upon us and so today I would like to share with you a review on a facial Scrub by Montagne Jeunesse which doubles up as a masque!
For 99p you can't go wrong, treat yourself to a nice relaxing facial for cheap as chips!

Apricot Scrub is not just a scrub but a scrub in a masque. This is a fairly new scrub within their range as this was only brought out last year. The smell as you can imagine is yummy, who wouldn't like Apricot & Mango!

The best way to use and apply this masque is simple, take off your make-up and cleanse your skin as normal and then tear the tab open. I just want to mention the tab really quickly because this deserves a little mention. I have tried heaps of different masques in the past all by various companies and what I like about Montagne Jeunesse is how simple and easy the tab is to tear to reveal the product. The amount of times I have been pulling with my teeth or using so much force to tear open a masque is silly. Do you know what I mean? Please tell me you do! ha ha ♥

Once you have prepared your skin you then massge the scrub into your skin avoiding the eye area and then sit back and relax. I always use my masques when I'm relaxing in a hot bath.
The texture is so creamy and thick which is what I look for in a masque, thanks to the Apricot Kernels your skin is left feeling smooth and brighter. Whilst you have Apricot and Mango you also have Aloe Vera which naturally softens the skin and helps soothe the skin. I have not experienced any redness when using these masques.

The best way I have found to remove this is using a muslin cloth which has been soaked in hand hot water and just gentle removing the scrub masque that way, once all the masque is removed I then splash my face with the cool water to remove any excess grains.

Suitable for Vegans, Gluten Free, Dairy Free and No added Parabens ♥
