December Glamour Issue just arrived

LOOK!! What the postie just brought!!! The new copy of Glamour and a freebie Nails Inc polish!!

Heres the other colours.. sorry for the dodgy pics this is taken from my iphone :)

I have Hampstead Heath, I would say a creamy wine colour?? On Nails Inc site they decribe the colour as a burnt red, I will go with that one as they so know what they are talking about unlike me and describing nail polish colours!! Ha ha.

You can grab your copy of the new December issue from November 4th!! Be ready and waiting because I predict that these will fly off the shelf!! I'm excited to see 'Jermyn Street'. I will be getting the other colours for sure, I mean come on £2 for the mag I may even grab a few more for pressies! I will give out the mags to family and friends.

Is it me or do any of you struggle with describing nail colours?? Any tips?

Everyday Minerals Review

I'm sure you've all heard of Everyday Minerals if not then quick pop on over and check out their beautiful blushes and eye shadows! They are also very popular for their foundations and other product ranges. They are based in America and ship internationally.. yipee for us!!

I was lucky enough to recieve 3 mineral blushes and one mineral eye shadow roller ball.

They are very pigmented and the colours are fab, the photos do not do them justice!
They have a handy non-spill section which is great! I just tap a little product out into the lid and apply with my Mac 168. However would love to try their brushes.

Here is a photo showing me with Waffle cone (a light peach matte with a hint of pink and soft sheen) on the cheeks and Ginger Peach (a light tan/pale peach shimmer) on my lids.

Here is me wearing Like Lady Bird Lake (a true peach with a hint of pink sheen) and Ginger Peach on the lids again, I love love LOVE this roller ball shadow!!

And lastly here is me wearing Snuggle (A radiant pink with a hint of peach and a soft sheen) with Ginger Peach on the lids with a brown khol on the lash line.

They are all beautiful colours and I enjoy wearing them everyday, they have heaps more shades on their lovely website so have a nosey :) they offer FREE mini kits with every order!

The blushes range from $9 for Waffle cone and $8 for Snuggle and Like lady Bird Lake however this currently on offer for $7 which is soooo worth it!! You can also order sample pots for $2.50

The eyeshadows are $6.50 and travel size which I have $4.50. I so recommend these for everyone!! Being a busy mummy to 2 little ones this really has helped me cut down the amount of time I spend in the morning, I use this so easily and quickly and yet the results look like I've spent ages infront of a mirror! I love using this all over the lid and then use a charcoal shadow softly in the outercorner for a soft smokey look!

This is my fav look.

I would love to try more of the roller ball eyeshadows in a few different colours and also one of their foundations. I like the sound of their 'Original Glo' foundations and also their brushes look such amazing quality, has anyone tried them?

Have you tried any Everyday Minerals products?

Thanks for stopping by :)

FYF Flawless you Forever

I have been reading and seeing more and more about a relatively new make-up brand FYF, which stands for Flawless You Forever.

The one product in particular that got me excited, was their 3D Floral Blush. Lucky for me I was kindly sent five products one of which was their Floral Blush in 'Autumn'.
I wanted to show you the packaging as I thought it was sweet, different from anything I have seen before.
All five of the products where spot on for me, they are all colours/shades which I use.

Floral Blush 'Autumn' is certainly one of my favourites, the colour pay off is amazing. The blush is very pigmented and a little goes along long way! So be careful, I used my big face brush and tapped the brush onto the beautiful 3D flower and then buffed the colour into my face.

I was given an instant glow perfect for the winter months. If you can't be bothered with self-tan but still want that healthy glow then you NEED one of these! I have also been using this as my contour because the colour is buildable and works so well for my skin tone.

The price is really good £12/$19 If you haven't tried this then I strongly suggest you pop over to their web site and have a look at this is amazing compact. I would love to try 'Romance' next.

The next product which was exciting to try was one of their Lipsticks, after opening the floral blush I must admit this was the next box I opened, and was happy the colour was me.

The Lipstick is from their 'Dew Drop' range which contains Vitamin E and claims to be long lasting and moisturising. Well I have to agree with them, the lipstick glides onto the lips and looks great. The colour I was sent was 'Coy' which I would describe as a creamy pink nude.
They have a great selection of other colours in the range, the colours which entice me are 'Naked' and 'Mandarin.

Again the price isn't too bad and because this has become a lipstick I reach for daily I would invest in the £9/$14.

Whilst we are on the subject of lips, this leads me onto the following product which is a lip gloss from their 'Vita Glow' range. Another lip product containing Vitamin E, this is very easy on the lips and the colour is good too. As you can see from the swatch below this lip gloss can be worn on its own or over the top of a lipstick to give it that pout you want! The only downside for me and it's only a teeny weeny one because this is another fav of mine, is the smell. It reminds me of crayons. However once the lip gloss is on the lips the smell does not linger. I now dab the lipgloss onto the middle of my lips and blend in.

I'm wearing 'Coy' underneath, doesn't it give such a lovely sheen?

The price is good at £9 /$14 they have a good selection of colours and already I'm lusting after 'Cotton Candy' & 'Plush'. They also have another lip gloss range called 'Mint Glow' and guess what ingredient is found in this lip gloss?? There's a clue in the name... yep MINT!! I know I wouldn't like this one because I'm not a fan of mint, but if you are then check out the colours.

Ok this next product has become a staple in my everyday makeup routine. I never thought the day would come when I get excited over a concealer! Sad I know but If you know me and follow my blog then you'll know how much my dark circles bother me. Well thanks to FYF for sending me their Liquid Concealer in the shade 'Light' which is perfect for my skin tone.

At first when I saw the consistency I was a little unsure but asoon as I played around with it I soon forgot about that and was very impressed with the texture and ease of applying this. The coverage is amazing and you can see this by checking out the photos at the end of this post showing you all of the products used.

I'm so happy to have this in my makeup bag it makes such a difference to my eyes and for the price, well I would pay double for this. It only costs £10/$15. If you don't like a full coverage concealer then this is not for you. Where as if your a mummy like me and need a helping hand in the morning then this is your magic wand!

Last but not least is an Eye Pencil in the colour 'Brown Beauty', this is a nice pencil and claims to be smudge proof which I have to differ with. When I was applying my mascara I did get a little on my lid and wiped the mascara off aswell as smudging my eyeliner!

I must say though it does have staying power it has lasted all day on my eyes and looks just as good as it did this morning 7am as it does now 10pm so this would be great for evenings out.

Apart from that there isn't anything special about the pencil, but to be honest pencils don't excite me unlike the previous products mentioned above which I would all purchase myself. The price is a reasonable £8/$12

Here are some pics showing you all of the products used, I've enjoyed using them all week.
First photo I'm wearing 'Coy' lipstick on its own, second photo I'm wearing the lip gloss 'Natural Gold' over the top.

Have you heard of FYF? What would you like to try?

Thanks for stopping by :)

Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish

I was lucky enough to recieve Liz Earles Hot Cloth Cleanser.
Again beautifully wrapped which ok may not mean nothing to some of you but for me personally it makes the product all that more special and exciting.

No doubt you have read heaps of reviews and seen various awards for this product. Well I'm not suprised, this is by far one of the best cleansers I have come across. It cleanses the skin and removes my eye makeup all in one go which is perfect for me! I am still a fan of Cleansing Oils but this has swayed me slightly. I love how you use the muslin cloth included in the pack I was sent, well 2 cloths actually.

I was sent the 100ml Starter kit which comes with 2 muslin cloths and a very handy zip storage bag. This is perfect for travelling and both muslin cloths fit inside perfectly! £13.00
There are few different sizes so check out the site and see which size appeals to you.

What I liked about this cleanser was the texture, I like my cleansers to feel rich because for me that way when I remove the cleanser my skin feels like its had a deep cleanse especially with this cleanser and the 2-phase action.
Liz Earle recommends for phase-1 you apply a pumps worth of product and massage into the face and eye area. This even removes my Clinique High Impact Curling mascara and thats saying something!
Then for phase-2 using your muslin cloth which has been soaked in hand hot water you use this to remove the cleanser and polish the skin so to speak. By doing this you are very gently buffing the skin and removing any dislodged makeup.

Enclosed came a step by step guide, this is great to keep referring back to but to be honest it's so simple you soon get the hang of it.

Until recently my skin had a reaction to a few products which I was using and once I started using cleanse & polish my skin seemed to settle back down thanks to the active ingredients especially chamomile my skin is almost back to normal.

I just need to find a good moisturiser now and stick to a good regime. Any suggestions would be great, please leave a comment below!

Thanks for stopping by :)

Peony Skincare

Peony Skincare is a new brand and is soley based around the key ingredient the white Peony extract. You can read more about the brand on their website.
I was lucky enough to recieve their facial cleanser & gold juniper exfoliating crystals aswell as a selection of samples from their other product range.

Firstly I love the headband that came with the products, I didn't own one of these before but since having it I use it every day now and can't believe how much it saves my hair getting wet!

The facial cleanser is a foaming cleanser in pump form, 100ml costs £24.25 which is quiet a few pennies. I think the reason behind the cost is down to the use of the white peony extract. The smell is very distinctive and I actually like the natural scent, you smell the peony extract but also the green tea. For me this didn't do anything majorly special however this range was developed with more mature skin in mind but they have developed moisturisers for younger skin.

I was very excited to try the Juniper exfoliating crystals, I've never tried any product like this before. I love the fact that YOU can decide the level of exfoliation your skin needs. The crystals are suitable for all skin types. I would be extra careful when using them though, as the crystals are loose. They do have a safety cap once you unscrew the lid but when using the spatula just be careful.

I love these, purely because you can decide how much to use with your cleanser to create your exfoliator. I can really notice the lavender scent in the crystals aswell as the peony extract. Using the spatula provided with the crystals you determine how much you want to use and then mix with two pumps of the cleanser. I have taken a photo showing you what this looks like.

The chances are like me you soon know how much crystals to use after a couple uses. I personally feel that only a small amount is needed as the crystals are very exfoliating if that makes sense? The crystals come in a 15 gram jar which costs £22.75 which I think is an ok price to pay for a product like this.
My skin felt super soft after using the crystals and really enjoyed and still enjoy using them.

The range also has a toner, serum, eye & lip serum, day & night creams for younger and mature skins aswell as facial masks and body lotion.

I used the toner and the serum as advised and then followed by the day & night cream for young skin. I did use this for about a week and half and then stopped because my skin started to react and I had a breakout of spots on my forehead and also on my cheeks.
I put this down to the moisturisers being too rich for my skin. The texture of the day and night creams where more of a gel-cream formula which to be honest I'm not a fan of.

However I was happy with their Pro-collagen Eye Lift & Lip Serum. I have used this day and night on my eyes and lips and my lips do seem fuller in the morning and not so dry. As for eyes I haven't as yet noticed any improvements.

Have you ever tried an eye mask? Will this certainly lives up to its name 'Instant Eye Lift Mask' with collagen and green tea extract. This was a first for me and I loved it, the eye mask is quite big and covers well over the eye and cheek bone area and above your brow bone. I was sent one of these to try but would as a special treat buy a pack of these. They come in a pack of 3 for £14.75 which when you think about it really is very good value. You are getting three treatments, so thats just under £5 each. Asoon as I placed the mask onto my eye area I instantly felt like I was in a salon somewhere, the mask is so cool and refreshing for the delicate eye area. This most definatley is a must for all you mummies out there and shift workers.
I left mine on for the suggested 10-20mins and didn't want to take it off if I'm honest. When I took off the mask I gently massaged the left over product into my eye and face area. My skin and cheek bone area felt tighter for sure and gave my skin a burst of energy that it needs right now especially with a 4 month old!

Here is a very glamorous snap shot of the eye mask in action! ha ha!

I have yet to try the hydrating facial mask, this will be my next treatment to try during the week. So check back soon to see what I thought.

If you haven't already checked out Peony Skincare then pop over to their site and have browse I totally recommend the Juniper Exfoliating crystals and their eye masks!!
They are also hoping to branch out into the 'Party Plan' business so drop them a line if this is something which would interest you.

Thanks for stopping by :)
